Radioactive waste

Not sure where this should go.

I can't find any info about this online but on May 14th there was a story on the news about radio active waste. Apparently they have been dumping millions of tons of radioactive waste in a landfill in Walter Hill TN...For how long? I don't know. Exact amount? I don't know. I'm hoping some of you can find more information on this. I don't know a whole lot about it, my mother caught it and informed me of it. I do think it was somewhere around 14 million tons though.

The scariest part about all this...for me at least...this landfill is less then a mile away from my house!!!!!!

Edit: Oh yea, the waste has been coming from many different states....To this particular landfill...who knows why.
