I'm sorry if I seem abrasive, but I don't believe your Grandfather got death threats and warnings like the stereotypical "we know where your kids go to school". If he did, something more than maligning a President on a conspiracy site should be done about it.

I know we toss around crazy theories here, but you are saying you have proof Clinton was threatening you. All I'm pointing out is if I came here and said Bush gave my Dad a BJ at a college party...then people would go ape azz crazy on me to back that up or shut up.

I am not telling you to shut up at all. I'd just like some more details in the way of convincing than just yup Clinton threatened me through my Grandfather.

Unfortunatelly, there is no evidence. It may not even been an aid. I heard about this through my mom, who heard about it through her mom. My grandfather won't talk about any of the stuff he's not supposed to talk about to us, but he does tell my grandmother and she tells all of us.

As for doing something about it, what can he do? All he has is a supposed phone call, so it would just be his word. He's a lawyer, he knows that won't stick in court. When he was prosecuting the mob in Chicago in the 60s, stuff like that would happen to him all the time. All that happened was that my aunts, uncles, and mom would get FBI agents escorting them when they walked to and from school. A death threat, although illegal, is really hard to do anything about, because it's a he said she said type of case. If you have it recorded or written, that's a different issue, but in this case, it was word of mouth.

As far as giving you evidence, I can't. It's not there. It just made me sick when I heard about it, because I had heard the stories of him dealing with the mob, and the fact that our commander in chief was no better then a worthless criminal kinda pissed me off...

It'd be really hard to tell all of a 200 page book in a synopsis. What do you expect if someone publishes a book? Handouts?

It's just a shame that a Presidential 'authorized' death threat can't be backed up. I understand what you're saying, and I trust your Grandfather is a good man.

But frankly it sucks that such an accusation isn't HIGHLIGHTED as first hand evidence in his own book. I understand you're just reporting what you hear second or third hand now, but you have to understand all that stuff the book claims to reveal is shocking, yes. But the very author being threatened by the President? Or his grandkids? THAT's the real smoking gun if true.

I just jumped on that (and I apologize for doing so abrasively) because that's the sort of thing you want backed up. To hear more about, in other words.
