Higher temperature is said to turn the aspartame into formaldehyde.
Aspartame, a dipeptide composed of phenylalanine and aspartic acid linked by a methyl ester bond, is not absorbed, and is completely hydrolysed in the intestine to yield the two constituent amino acids and free methanol. Opponents of aspartame suggest that the phenylalanine and methanol so released are dangerous. In particular, they assert that methanol can be converted to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, and thus cause metabolic acidosis and neurotoxicity.
Although a 330 ml can of aspartame-sweetened soft drink will yield about 20 mg methanol, an equivalent volume of fruit juice produces 40 mg methanol, and an alcoholic beverage about 60-100 mg. The yield of phenylalanine is about 100 mg for a can of diet soft drink, compared with 300 mg for an egg, 500 mg for a glass of milk, and 900 mg for a large hamburger (1). Thus, the amount of phenylalanine or methanol ingested from consumption of aspartame is trivial, compared with other dietary sources. Clinical studies have shown no evidence of toxic effects and no increase in plasma concentrations of methanol, formic acid, or phenylalanine with daily consumption of 50 mg/kg aspartame (equivalent to 17 cans of diet soft drink daily for a 70 kg adult) (1, 2).

I just don't get your theory here. Why would the government want the population reduced? The more people, the more taxes. The more people, the more product consumed and the more $$ the corporations make. No people = no profit.
It is a simple fact that for planet Earth to attain a state of balance, the current population of human beings will need to be radically reduced. The alternative to that scenario is that human beings would find ways to live in harmony with the planet, but given the foolishishness and short-term thinking tendancy of the human species, this is highly unlikely.
The Illuminati's idea of Population Control falls into two broad categories:
1. Limiting the size of human societies and monitoring/controlling the movement of individuals within that society, and
2. Intentionally reducing the bulk of the world's population through GENOCIDE via the introduction of population slaughter, orchestrated conflicts, and lethal bioengineered disease organisms introduced via vaccines and other means of external transmission.
The Illuminati's current plan to reduce the world's population was set into motion at a 1957 symposium on future world development. The astonishing 'conclusion' of this seemingly benign symposium was that over-population and excessive exploitation of the environment would result in the self- destruction of the earth by the year 2,000 or shortly thereafter (Note:Illuminti front organizations for New World Order propaganda, like Cornell University, continue to "illuminate" us, to this very day, with this over-population point of view).

Also, one of your links is a blatant lie. Any of these sites you see touting formaldehyde poisoning are lying...and they know it. As I posted above, it's a fact that you get much more formaldehyde in your body from drinking a glass of OJ than from drinking a can of diet coke. Our bodies are capable of dealing with these small amounts or the human race would have went extinct long ago from eating fruit.

It appears that the PR firms for the chemical company "selling"
aspartame (i.e., slowing poisoning people), Monsanto Chemical Company
are desparate to rescue their junky product despite the growing
evidence of its dangers. On the Internet, there are many nonsensical
and scientifically indefensible posts by persons who are only
interested in confusing the issue and creating havoc.
For example, one person recently claimed that orange juice releases
400 times more methanol than aspartame upon ingestion. The
scientific facts are that aspartame has much more methanol than
orange juice. (Many store-bought orange juices have 10-30 times less
methanol.) In addition, the methanol from aspartame is converted to
the extremely toxic formaldehyde and formic acid in the body, while
protective factors in the orange juice may prevent this conversion to
formaldehyde and formic acid. An avid aspartame consumer will be
getting the equivalent amount of methanol as a person working
part-time and inhaling methanol fumes in a methanol-laden chemical
plant. Other aspartame breakdown products may potentiate the
methanol/formaldehyde toxicity.

Kind of seems like a stupid theory when you realize that methanol, which these sites claim are the source of an unhealthy amount of formaldehyde, is present in larger quantities in fruit juice and alcholic beverages.
It has been pointed out that fruit juices and alcoholic beverages contain small amounts of methanol. It is important to remember, that the methanol in natural products never appears alone. In every case, ethanol is present, usually in much higher amounts. Ethanol is an antidote for methanol toxicity in humans. The troops of Desert Storm were "treated" to large amounts of aspartame-sweetened beverages which had been heated to over 86 degrees F. in the Saudi Arabian sun. Many of them returned home with numerous disorders similar to what has been seen in persons who have been chemically poisoned by formaldehyde. The free methanol in the beverages may have been a contributing factor in these illnesses. Other breakdown products of aspartame such as DKP, may also have been a factor.
Aspartame is just one of so many poisons that are intentionally put into the food supply in order to make people sick. One reason this is done is to decrease the population.

Really? And what proof do you have of this? Sorry but quit spouting crap out when you really have no idea what you talk about. YES Aspartame can be bad, YET many food sweeteners can cause sickness.... But to decrease population with no proof? AAARRRGGGGHHHHH.
Now you're getting into secret societies because you cannot find another way to help back up your Agenda?

A report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of the U.S. Congress, finds that the EPA is failing to protect people from tens of thousands of toxic chemicals.
