All these folders are in my guest account application data

I moved it

but it can not be deleted and it is a pain

I have no idea what it is

all these symbols and it will not delete and it just duplicated itself to 49gb!!!

what in the world is this?

What kind of security software do you have installed?

I would suggest a thorough scan for viruses/spyware/malicious software.

You could try logging in as administrator in Safe Mode, and then try deleting the files, but be cautious, they may be needed by some application that you have installed.

Open up Task Manger, and list all the running processes.


Right Click on the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Select "Task Manager", then click on the "Processes" tab.

That will show the processes that are currently running.

If there are not too many, make a list of them and post it here.

If you have many, perhaps screen capture the list. (in segments, as necessary)

Looking at the size of the files (even the largest fits in a DVD), it looks like someone is downloading some files.

If you are not downloading anything, then maybe someone is using your computer without you knowing it. Try to disconnect it from the Internet, if it is connected, and then restart the computer without Internet access to see if you can delete those files.

Stop looking at porn and that wouldn't happen.

On serious note I would update and run your virus software if you havn't already. You should also have if you don't already is a firewall to prevent people from gaining access to your pc.

You can try a variation of what Mechanic 32 said.

Download Process Explorer, extract it from the zip file or execute it directly from the zip, and it will show you all the processes running. It shows more processes than Task Manager and it will let you kill processes that Task Manager does not. Having said that, some processes are needed for Windows to work, so if you kill any of those processes you may end with an abrupt shut-down. If you can not kill a suspicious process try to suspend it first and kill it after that.

In the processes listed look for something that does not show the company that created the program or for something that you know it was not supposed to be there.

You can download also Autoruns to see what programs Windows loads at start-up and disable anything suspicious. You can enable them after if you notice anything is not working as it should.

Another good program is Filemon. With this you can see all accesses to the disk(s) and apply a filter to see what programs are writing and/or reading in that folder.

It can be one of two things. (Perhaps more, but I'll put my money on one of these.)
1. Virus/Malware.
As asked above: What antivirus software do you use? There are several free scans you can do on the Internet that should quickly identify a virus.
This thread has several links, sites, etc. to help protect your PC. Make sure that you have Spybot S & D as well.
2. Corrupt Profile/Harddrive
This is not very likely, but still not impossible (if you can't find a virus/spyware/etc. on you PC then you can look in this direction). If the problem is limited to a single profile, then it may be a corrupt profile. This should sort out that problem.

You didn't perhaps change settings of the Language and regional settings at any time?

I've seen this a lot on Windows boxes. A pedophile for ex searches for exploitable Windows boxes and exploits them and uses the exploit to store a huge quantity of files using the computer as a dump. It's very common. It could also be someone who hacked your box to use as a Warez dump. There could be all kinds of things in your computer right now, rootkits, trojans and viruses without you knowing. It's a pretty sloppy job though as the files are not totally hidden.

This happens everyday without people knowing. It happens to both private users and companies. If the hacker has owned your box and injected a rootkit an antivirus won't do sh*t.

What complete and utter crock. Tell me do you know many paedophiles or do you just like making up urban legends?

I don't even know where to begin pointing out what's wrong with the statement. Perhaps you could give some helpful advice for Ragster, to help him solve his problem, instead of making up wild theories about the man on the moon?
