Ok this is from coast to coast (C2C) and from the poster original, this image was achieved by enhacing the original. All you photo experts out there, this can be a good exercize for you!

Is the ghost really in the darkened image??

Here's the post and the pics.

Below is a photo given to me to look over by a coworker, Jennifer W. I have 14 years Photoshop experience, and I can find no visual markers or artifacts of cloning or layering. This was a test photo to make sure the flash was working on a digital camera as college students from Amarillo went on a biology class field trip to Lake Travis near Austin, TX. The figure that appears to the right of the student when the photo is lightened is of unknown origin and was not noticed by anyone at the site. In brief, the figure shares lighting characteristics with the dock that appears to the left of the student, and, there is no evidence of double exposure. Some see a diver, some see a Native American. Why the eyes glow is unknown. Could this be a scuba diver that didn't say hello and went unnoticed, or, is it something less easy to explain?

--Michael

Photos:
1 is the original
2 is lightened
3 is enhanced

Now I tried to bring up the brightness and the contrast on the dark image, and what I get seems VERY PIXELIZED, shades of gray in the ghost and the boat dock areas. Hmm...So is this a legit photo or a HOAX??!!

im gonna say they eyes are from a crocodile ..
as for the "figure" nothing more than swap gas.
mayeb the croc ate some taco bell.
if you can get past the matrixing and look at it there isnt anything
relly there exp. the eyes.

What's that waterbourne gillie suited guy doing there without his sniper rifle, that looks like a nite-ops scuba dude, maybe in training, apparently pretty good cause nobody noticed him there at the time, but most people are pretty much 1/4 of the way awake anyway.

I dunno it actually looks kinda funny to me, cant help but laugh, haha.

Looks like something from star wars.

I copied the original photo and increased the gamma and the lake monster appeared. However it looks like a reject from the tin man auditions instead of a fearsome lake monster. Is this the ghost of a robot from millions of years ago.

I don't know what it looks like but it's definitely creepy.

The figure is definitely strange though... it looks almost misshapen. *shrugs*

It does look like a scuba diver just getting out of the water and not wanting to be seen, HOWEVER the eyes are strange. They look to be too close together.

If this is not a hoax (which has yet to be seen) perhaps looking at the eye distance may give is some possible candidates...?

reminds me of a scooby doo ghost of an old timey diver with the deep sea bell helmet. maybe its old man jenkins of the haunted amusement park.

cool pic none the less.

Where do I watch Coast to Coast shows? Which channel is it on? Is it only on radio? I live in Cleveland, btw. I have seen UFO pix on another post and they are also from Coast to Coast. I would like to know more about this C2C thing. Thanks a lot

Here is a link of radio affiliates in the Cleveland area:

I would recommend checking the website for scheduled shows. IMO, the shows run the gamut from very interesting
to totally stupid... but in all fairness, how can you have interesting shows every night?
The host, George Noory is cool. Every so often, there's a show that's a mind-blower.

George Noory is kind of a rube. Art Bell's weekend shows are the best.

But I digress.

The picture is interesting. the pixelation in the background seems uniform so It doesn't seem like a crude insert. the thing that really makes me curious is that it's so 'barely there' in the original photo. it strikes me as something that'd be tricky to photoshop.

To me, the ghost kind of looks like some ancient guy in a hood with glowing eyes. or a giant Jawa (the star wars thing that I believe someone else was trying to reference earlier in the thread). there's no way it could be a crocodile's eyes.. they're way too high off the ground.

very eerie picture in any case.

Just looks like image distortion, if you look very closely right above my arrow, a similar blocky white pixelation is visible, it's also visible further left, just past his left elbow:

Hilarious!
This is no ghost, phantom or any entity from a parallel realm.
It looks like an e.t. from one of those 'B' movies produced in the 1950's.
I love the 'cats eyes' reflection to add a touch of colour and mystery to the scene.
Hells Bells, this has to be a set up!

Can I ask what makes you think this, specifically?

Ok I just posted a new thread on JRitzman's thread, he is the resident image analysis guru! Here's my post to him:

Please check this photo out, its interesting because it is hidden until the brightness is picked up. Also it is not a UFO, it is a something...
The poster original, state that she was also a PHOTOSHOP user for 14 years and had studied this picture.

Now I want to put this to the test, it could be a statement that is meant to throw people off into thinking that it is genuine.

Stay tuned!

I don't know much about photography, but I think the "eyes" are boat lights. The "body" is an optical illusion caused by photographing at night. The arms and legs don't look right.

I guess my photoshop skills are weak, but seems to me like the 2nd and 3rd pictures have been doctored with. I am unable to get anything but lots of blurry cubes from the "original" one. Unless theres a better version of the original one somewhere I will have to say rubbish to that one.

The more I look at this, the more it looks like some kind of reflection of the guy standing there.
