Post Number One Thousand

This is my post number one thousand. Since 9-6-06. In a little more than 8 months, about 250 days, 4 posts a day.

Just wanna say thank you for being here and to have been able to write them as I liked (almost) without any interference from mods. Also thanks to the many great members who replying have agreed or disagreed with me. Whatever the opinion it has made me a lot of friends and not a foe (I know of).

I came to ATS after a friend had send me a link to a FEMA camp thread. I decided to join because world affairs always have concerned me. And because strain on (some of) my friends got to much me discussing Iraq, NWO and possible global war in e-mails. When the wife of one asked me to stop discussing such issues because the state of the world -and my constant reminding about it- had brought that friend on the brink of suicide I knew it was time to find other outlets for my speculations. Well, you know, women they dramatize, he's still alive and well.

But other, American friends, I partly lost because they couldn't handle my yakking about realities around the illfated Iraqi war.

So I decided it was time to let other innocent people fall victim to my pessimisme and misanthropy. After all they had decided to join by their own choice.

Actually being on ATS have given me some hope I otherwise wouldn't had gained.

Thank you for a GREAT board and a diverse intelligent membership.

It's interesting how we each came to ATS.
And what we chose to do once we got here, after the initial interest was filled.
It seems there's always something new to pique my interest here.
