New red ufo.May 07 2007

It's definitely a curious video, but I generally trust my first instincts, and they think it's not extra-terrestrial in origin.

Looks like it's drifting or hovering near the top of those low-level clouds, which would put the altitude at approximately 6,000 feet or less. Probably right around a mile from the surface. That's too high to fly a kite if you ask me.

I believe it could be a cluster of balloons that looks like it has a propellor on top because the winds at that altitude were probably fair, especially since those are rain clouds, and were causing the cluster of balloons to whirl around.

Either that or it is infact some kind of surveillance device. It doesn't look like a helicopter to me, but i'm not sure you'd be able to hear a helicopter with decent noise reduction at a mile or so in the sky.

Helicopter, I think that with sound we would here it. I am suspicious of most vids with out sound.

Oh my....ok why wouldnt you.... first off that is a blowup balloon toy...the object appears to be MUCH higher than the reported top flight capabilities of your toy from the manufacturer.

Very interesting video.
I too thought it was balloons at first, but it did not move with the upper wind currents. it appears to remain stationary from this angle. maybe moving towards him or away from, and since it is so far away and possibly drifting slowly with the wind we can not notice the change...

Update : this was apparently shot in "Peoria" in Phoenix, Arizona.

There is no sound on this copy because his parents were "bickering" in Spanish about the location of the object! lol. and he didn't want peeps to hear them

Told him not to worry.

He is preparing better copy, but didn't say when or where it will be posted.

He is adament this is not a bunch of balloons and commented on the movement of this object not matching the wind etc.

So either a hoax that we will see no more of, something that will be identified, or genuinely interesting and un-identifiable.

He also says he is now aware of ATS and will check "US" out later.

Are you saying that thing in the sky didn't look like it was about two stories high? Well maybe it was launched from a hot air balloon. I'm also cranky as I am wanky so good morning to you ma'am...and good afternoon.

How on earth can you tell this from the poor at best video?

Personally, I think its definetly something in the sky. Its certainly not faked. But I think its ballons. In the screenshots on the previous page, this look like an obvious solution. An RC helo would not fly like that: it would be much more erratic since someone actually fly it. An alien craft seems unlikely, since it doesnt posses any "alien" characteristics whatsoever.

A by all looks deliberate mechanical design and speeds and movement far exceeding that of conventional aircrafts and it would possess "alien" characteristics, preferably along with something that doesnt "make sense" in the conventional airplane area (for example a UFO the size of a 747 that doesnt make any noise whatsoever).

That's not to say it would BE alien, it would simply APPEAR to be and you could begin to speculate that it is.

This UFO shows nothing of the sort. Its just a diffuse blob that's infinitly more likely to be ballons than an alien UFO. I would never begin to speculate this was alien in the first place, even though I fully concede that its definetly something in the air and not a hoax.

It looked like a helicopter to me. Perhaps an unmanned RC helicopter, but given the poor quality of the video, it's impossible to conclude that this represents anything anomalous.

I don't think it's a hoax - just a misinterpretation.

To me it looks like a floating turkey. Hehe, not of the feathered variety but of the cooked kind.

Seriously though, it is interesting to see but most likely will end up being something as simple as a new type of surveillance technology that we have.

The sound issue isn't really too hard to explain. When I tried to copy my video of an 'interesting' object I had to really mess with it. The conversion quality sucked and the files, without sound, were approaching the 6 gig range. I didn't have cables to plug in the audio from an AV cable into a sound in pin. That's most likely the reasoning for no sound here.

Either way, it's an interesting daylight video of something that is apparently legit. No CGI here. Just a floating cooked turkey. hehe

To add more to the mix, I would suggest looking into nacelle aircraft that are currently being perfected as drones/UAVs or as manned vehicles.

Moller is one company that has designs besides his crazy airplane car that are fairly silent at a distance, I think.

Yes it could be a helicopter. But the guy on utube said his dad first saw the object when it buzzed his house at 200 ft. Wouldn't he know it was a helicopter at that point? I don't understand how some people can think this is a kite or a toy balloon with a propeller on top. The video clearly shows the thing hovering above a cloud at over 5,000 feet up. Come on people. Think before you make such ludicrous accusations.

You can clearly see there is an propellor in some frames spinning and you can see the tail of the 'helicopter'

anyone out who reads this:
PLEASE, next time you decide to film a UFO find a tree, bench, street post, SOMETHING and lean against it or place your camera against it when trying to film the object. This will act as, at least, a bi-pod to steady the camera. the person clearly had a street post right in front of them they could have leaned against to get a steady shot.

great find.

I'd like to label this as a UFO, but since there were no close-up steady shots to observe the object for longer than 2 seconds, I'm going to have to go with helicopter.

Thank you for pointing that out...that was my second point....but I was tired... the object remained stationary while the clouds were in motion.... propeller driven toys do NOT behave in this fashion so please....think.
