I am having a real hard time in believing Bush was behind 911.
His reaction was not surprised I believe he simply did not know what to do.
Also consider that on 9/10 he had an air missile defence system for his own safety something very uncommon and very odd if he planned or knew about the attack why the need to have such a system?
He was simply not told.
Something else happened on Airforce one.
He was probably threatened as he probably had many things to hide.
Maybe Rumsfield as well with his slips of the tongue did not know.
Dick on the other hand looked very calm and it seemed like he knew what he was doing very well.
Something odd went on 911 and a shift of powers took place.
IMO
If Bush knew in advance he would have been prepared to react immediately instead they made him look like a fool.

thats like thinking bush did not know about the wars that led to iraq but just had faulty intelligence and was misinformed.
thinking he was doing good all along

I think your mistaking his reaction, I believe its a reaction tht says, "wow they actually pulled it off, man they are some smart fellers!"

Webster Tarpley has made much of the message alleged to have been received at the White House that "Angel is next." This was supposed to have been accompanied by secret codes having to do with pushing the nuclear launch button. Tarpley believes there was a coup on 911 and that Bush was being told "play along or you will get the chop." Who knows? It's very difficult to take Bush seriously as anything more than a mouthpiece for somone else's agenda.

I think he is on board with it all, but not a prime mover.

Why is it so hard to believe that he didn't know about it? Now, I'm no bush lover by any means, I'm farther left than most people in this country, but honestly if you subscribe tot he factr that 9/11 was an inside job it doesn't seem so hard to believe that they didn't let bush in on what was going on specifically to make him look like a jackass so people were quicker to blame him for incompetnace than complacency.

I think there is a BIG difference between:

1. Bush did not know.

And

2. Bush was not controlling the events.

Bush was an electable (because of his name) talking head for the PNAC. The rest are unelectable for various reasons. I would lean towards Kristol, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and a few others as being the "masterminds" and Bush as more of an "actor" reading scripts. No decision making, just following orders.
