The Sea Eagle was an anti-ship missile derived from the Martel missile. The main difference was an active radar seeker (like the Exocet or Harpoon)
and a turbojet engine.

All UK Sea Eagles have been retired, mainly due to budget (the SDR made other excuses about meeting tomorrow's needs etc).
The although the missile got great write-ups it appears to have been a dissapointment although India is heavily committed. For some reason Royal Navy
prefered Harpoon and Royal Air Force Nimrod patrol aircraft also got Harpoon not Sea Eagle. Saudi Arabia retired it early but not clear why.
Ship/ground launched version never found a customer.
