Who Wants a One World Government?

I have read vast amounts of information about secret societies aiming for a One World Government. Commonly it is referred to as the New World Order or whatever. There have always been a few questions that bugged me about the whole thing.
First of all, what is wrong with a one world government? No more war, no more illegal immigrants. Granted, many nations don't want to join but if they all could be convinced over time, would it be that bad?
My next question is why would evil war loving corporate scamsters want such a thing? With borders and wars there is so much more money to be made.
Now lets look at a wild hypothetical situation.
What would an evil secret society do to prevent the world from ever wanting to come together under one form of government?

1. Sponsor and control a form of united government (UN) that is utterly corrupt and incompetent beyond all reason. Only with intelligent direction could they be so worthless and inept.

2. Foster beliefs in all major religions that a one world government is the work of Satan (or whatever evil dude your religion loves to hate) and evil people are trying to force it upon them.

3. Sponsor rumors and stories in the conspiracy subculture that the evil elite are trying to enslave them all through a one world government.

4. Foster and promote as much hate as possible between nations and religions of the world through war, propaganda and, dare I say, false flag operations.

I am looking around and I don't see the rulers of nations doing much to actually promote a One world Government. It wouldn't take rocket science to invent a plan like this...

I guess I was unclear, I should have wrote:
"It wouldn't take rocket science to invent a plan to prevent a One World Government in the above manner."

I got cha. But Star Trek mythos is valid here too.

A one world governemnt takes place about 2 minutes after the existence of aliens is proven. The elimination of all money, capitalism, war, one minute after the first 'replicator' is invented.

But the link I gave was what's stopping such in the meantime. Bible believers. Or any religion, etc.

I'd love to see a one world government, but I don't want to see a totalitarian new world order.

As long as there are people on this planet there will be people who will fight for their freedom. As stated before in a other post up here , all religions say somewhere along the line that a NWO is a bad thing.

This post made me wonder if that was the big trick the aliens used when they landed in the past . Just spread some different religions over the globe, give them some brains and some time to develop . And 1 day ur sure of having a planet who has developed a warmachine. After some time they could come back and harvest anything from tech. Their race never tought about.who knows .....

The one world government seemed to work great in Star Trek.

I think it's a moot point because it will never happen. I don't think the nations/people of the world trust eachother enough. You can't have that kind of gov't until all the armies of the world disarm. And who's going to trust their enemies to do that?

One world goverment is bad for hummans, power is just too great, and if the one world goverment decides to go wrong some time in the future who is going to stop them?

I think there is so much war because it is being actively promoted. If the talking heads on TV came on and said we were at peace, enough people would believe it that there could be peace.
As for too much power in a one world system, there would be no single group in charge. Just representatives from each nation. and they would have no more power than th UN has today.
Now this will likely not happen because it is being actively resisted. My point is that the ones who are accused of trying to push the NWO on us have us fooled. They are resisting it.

There are wars because people don't accept it, like the muslims would, or the russians, or the chinese would?, not even africa would.
With peace none of those countrys would agree, they would just prefere to be independent, russia does not even want to join the europian union, in fact the NWO can't take place because of countrys and regions like china, russia, middle east, good or bad those countrys provide balance to the world, with no one left to provide balance everything would go in to ruin, if one would be all then that one would do as he wanted and as he pleased, imagine for some one to decide everything for you, and not just for you but for everybody.

Funny you should mention an NWO. In fact, the Bible describes a New World Order to end all of them. It is just that the NWO the Bible speaks of is ran by Jesus at the helm. Apparently, the bible is against any world government that is not run by Jesus. It says they will all fail and are wicked. Well, you do the math there.

Well I personally support a united world government, but only if it is Free,
Democratic and is not based on libertarian economics or overt capitalism.

I don't think we'll see a single world government in this century, without
some very extreme things happening, but I do think there will be one
within the next 100-200 years.

What we will see in this century is the development of several regional
supranational blocs.

At the beginning of a world government we'll see a confederation formed
by these blocs, eventually the blocs themselves will become political
subgroups, sort of like states, and we'll see a single world government.

I don't think though the governing system will have a president, but rather
a multi-lateral congress.

A planet not divided against it self would be a great thing but one government controlling that aspect of reality would be our undoing.

The average soul is not yet ready for utopia.

there is no fighting it the bible says there will be a one world goverment there will be one currency and one religon i pray that those power hungry politians have a revation from God and turn from there wicked ways

Read some things on one world gov re safety of all, except law-breakers and unfortunate people who collect and don't contribute to society in a fiscal way.
Sometimes' wondered if the brewing western disaster originating in the Mideast wasn't known by NWO and such a long time ago? If one world gov truly exists in ongoing change, eg patriot act and similar control measures elsewhere to seriously reduce freedoms for security, who or what originated the concept based on?

it originated in the bible the five i wills in isaiah satan wants so badly to be like God and creating a one world goverment, one currency, and one religion is in his eyes being God or one uping God because he will have the whole world bowing to him and if they dont they die if they dont recieve the mark to bartar goods they die. if thats the way it is to be im going to be one of them to die.
