Wow... listen to this guy rant and rave how Virginia Tech should have had 33,000 victims, but at least it was 33 nonetheless...

Then goes on to defend the church, and explains several quotes in the bible about America deserving punishment for the blasting of this church - and God paid America back with a massacre at Virginia Tech that should have been worse...

Westboro Church is a tax shelter for the criminally insane.

It consists mainly of shyster lawyers who use the law and the name of God for free publicity, thanks to the media, and the donations they receive from those with sick and twisted minds.

After seeing a picture of Phelps and reading up on him I'm convinced he is nuttier than a squirrel turd along with his clan on inbred freaks. The expressions on the faces of some of his goons seriously makes me think that their food is drugged up somehow. One day hes going to picket the wrong person and we will get to hear the headlines about how he finally got to meet his alleged god who basically hates everything and everyone.

i wonder, is this a problem of these people being insane, or a problem of them being religious?

if you look in the bible and go over their theology, it isn't very hard to see their position as completely valid from a pure literalist perspective. so, are they insane because of religion or mental illness?

You know, it would be funny as heck to see half their church meet their maker. Because according to them only "fags" die, and those who are against god... So... If they die... then their whole philosphy goes down the toilet... Still it would be even better to see a bunch of masked people with steel baseball bats show up at one of their "protests" and turn them to a pulp and see it plastered all over the internet. I think the good majority of the world who knows about these people would be rolling with laughter.

in revelation it talks about churchs that have been accoutable for preaching the wrong gospel. IF this church does not turn from its teachings and turn to the teachings of christ then it may very well be one of the churchs in the book of revelation nobody should wish that there were more deaths then what there were because Jesus tells us to LOVE OUR ENEMIES and to hold them closer than friends.

I don't think Phelps is insane at all.

I think the man is a genius.

He's found a way to get his message out to tens of millions of people, without it costing him a dime.

In the process, he gets his 15 minutes of fame, and the folks who agree with him are constantly sending donations.

If anyone does touch him, he sues them, and usually wins, which nets him yet more money.

Not that I agree with him in the least. It's guys like Phelps who have twisted a wonderful religion, and dragged it's name through the mud and into the sewers.

I SERIOUSLY hope our law enforcement folks are keeping an eye on these whacks. They are all going to go 'postal' one day and take a lot of people out ... betchya.

I have been a soldier for like2 years (In the lame Belgian army) and im sure that the day anyone tries to picket a funeral of 1 of our military guys . I'm gonna shoot him myself .

Did anyone else notice the sign that one of the whackos was holding? It said "God hates cripple soldiers". WTF??? That doesnt even make sense to me. Why would anyone, including God, hate cripple soldiers?

Well you know what they say about people that are this homophobic; they must see it in themselves to be so offended and outspoken.

The lowest point this tribe reached (well, one of the lowest, there's so many things to choose from) is when they planned to go and picket the funerals of the little Amish girls that were killed at the schoolhouse. The local police and citizens kept it from happening, though. There were people who volunteered to be a buffer between the families and these idiots - nice to know there's still some decency in the world, that people would volunteer to do such a thing.
They have no compassion and know nothing about love. I wonder how well they get along with each other?

I hate to say it, but the Phelps really put things into perspective with their irrational hatred and religious diatribe. They follow the Bible word by word, at least to an extent, and I don't see how other Christians can say that the Westboro Church and its members are not affiliated with Christianity. How is that when they are clearly using the Bible as a reference in every argument. You may argue that they interpret it wrongly, but that is subjective. All religious interpretations are subjective, which is why there are denominations. If it was not, then there would only be one branch of Christianity, period. So, yes....they legally represent yet another branch of Christianity.

The true test of freedom of speech isn't the protection of speech you agree with, it's the protection of speech that few agrees with.

Banning the Phelps from saying what they say would violate one of the 10 major building blocks our country was founded on.

It's also what allows others to counter-protest the phelps clan.

Kinda funny how the US is prepared to attack a nation like Iran for burning flags and justly hating the US for constantly medling in middle eastern afairs and supporting and defending Israel even when Israel is at least just as bad as the worst of the middle eastern nations. The fact that they are Muslims makes the white house bloodthirst even worse.

Yet when there is a bat crazy family in the US, that preaches death and destruction of the entire United States, protested and terrorized families of soldiers that got burried after defending their country and say that the 33 dead in Virginia Tech should've been 33000 instead, these people can just keep doing their thing.
