I will post more about this case tomorrow, I have neglected it a bit.

According to the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã, a psychiatrist that was present during the interview the McCanns gave to a Spanish TV station says it all looked like it was prepared in advance.

José Cabrera Fornero, a psychiatrist specialised in facial expression, says that Kate McCann cried only with her eyes, without moving any of muscles we use to cry, like if she was "a poker player, without real expression".

He also says that Gerry McCann said to Kate "Do not talk until they took the microphone away from you", making him think that Kate really knows more than they show us.

José Cabrera also said that during the 30 minutes of the interview, every time that Kate started talking Gerry would squeeze her hand, giving him the idea that he was controlling her.

Cabrera said that Kate had psychiatric problems before and that these are worse now, saying that Kate's parents, on an interview to Spanish television some time ago told that her daughter told them some time before the disappearance of Maddie that she thought that Maddie was getting more and more similar to her (I don't know if this was meant to be physically or otherwise, the words we usually use to say that may mean both).

In conclusion, this Spanish psychiatrist thinks that Kate is the key to the whole mystery and Gerry knows everything about it but keeps her under control,

Apparently, the DNA tests are complete and they point to the presence of Madeleine inside the car her parents hired 25 days after her disappearance.

THE private investigator hired by the parents of missing British girl Madeleine McCann says he knows where she is, and that she'll be home by Christmas.

Director-general of Metodo 3, Francisco Marco, told Britain’s Daily Mail the missing four-year-old was kidnapped by a pedophile ring but she was still alive.

"We know who kidnapped her. We believe she is in an area not very far from the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa. And we have a fairly certain idea of who she is with,” Mr Marco said.

I have my fingers crossed, But so many times during this we have been let down,

Maybe this is the same reason that news are not even covering what would seem to be major news if it turns out to be true,

I still hope they do find her and i can only wish that this lastest story will pan out and have her home,

Not to be a downer but...

With the amount of attention this case has received since day one, I don't think anyone (nefarious in nature of course) would be anywhere near her, knowing how recognizable she has been made via MSM.

There's always hope though.

Just when you thought they couldnt get any sicker.

They are considering making a film out of the whole episode. But only if it "raises awareness" and not for a bucketload of cash.

Unfortunately, that was another false lead.

In what could be a related case, a 5 years old girl disappeared in Spain, near the Portuguese border.

HUELVA, Spain, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Portuguese police are helping search for a 5-year-old Spanish girl who disappeared in circumstances similar to Britain's Madeleine McCann.
Mari Luz Cortes was reported missing Sunday in Huelva, Spain, about 120 miles from the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz where Madeleine disappeared last May, just days before her fourth birthday, the Daily Mail said Wednesday. Mari was last seen about 5 p.m. Sunday when she wandered off while her mother was resting at home.

Let's hope this is just temporary disappearance, but, if it's not, I hope that it can help solve other cases, like Madeleine's.

A Dutch Tourist in France claims that she seen Maddy in Montpellier,

CCTV footage in the cafe has been taken so that police can look over it,


seems that this person really thinks it was her and even called out her name,

Maddie Update

A Dutch girl claims to have seen a girl alive and with a man at a roadside restaurant in France.

She was so convinced the child was Madeleine McCann, that called out "Maddie."

She says the child reacted to her name, but then was whisked away by the unknown male.

Sadly the little Spanish girl who went missing has been found dead, Mari Luz Cortes was found floating in a river, tests will confirm how the poor little child died, results in a few days i would imagin,

During this week there have been more searches made by divers on the Arade dam reservoir, paid by a lawyer, Marcos Aragão Correia, and a construction company.

They have found a sock and some ropes that they sent to the police.

On a different note, the McCanns want to sue some British newspapers, especially those from The Express Group: The Daily Express, The Sunday Express, The Daily Star and The Daily Star Sunday.

PS: I remembered this thread today because I saw a girl that looked like Madeleine today, only a little younger.

One year gone and we still do not know what happened to Madeleine.

There will be many ceremonies to mark this date, but the sad fact is that we are in the same situation 365 days after.

Also, this is the day that marks the disappearance of a 7 year old boy from near his house in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

A similar case but with a much different media coverage.

Yup Was thinking about her today and was really hoping that a year ago we would not have to still be wondering what has happened to her,

My thoughts are with all those who have missing children, I cant beigin to understand how they feel, It would rip my heart out if it was my child,

I ALSO FEEL SORRY ABOUT IT.but what about those IRAQI kids ....those get killed every day.Its not their mistake that they born in a country which is oil rich.when we get up & fight for those kids ?

I wanted to post this earlier but I forgot.

According to two Portuguese newspapers, the police will close the case before it reaches the limit of the "justice secret" period, in July 14.

The reason for the closing of the case is lack of evidences, so it will be closed as a missing child case.

The inspector that was directing the investigation until the beginning of this month retired voluntarily, so he could reach his "full freedom of speech", and he will publish a book about the case.

But yeah, it's an awful shame that the poor boy never got a drop of the attention showered on Madeleine McCann. (Not that I blame her for it...)

And where's that little boy, Ben something, who went missing in 1991?

It's sad that in this case, as in many other situations, some people get a media treatment that almost makes them stars.

With so many missing children why was this case used by the media (and by high ranking politicians) in the way it was?

That will also remains a mystery, and maybe it will remain even if the disappearing of Madeleine gets solved.
