Where is it all goin, what had Uncle Sam done for you?

I, for one, dont agree with the Gov. how do you know where your moneys going and if its even going anywhere?!? I say we shouldnt pay tax for sometihng we have no clue about.

Trust me, you won't like paying your taxes any better if you do research and find out what the money's going for. If it will make you feel better, you are getting *some* good things for your tax dollars:

Federal funding for highways
Federal student loans
Federal funding for land / wildlife management
The space program
Federal clean air / water / occupational health & safety laws

Of course, you're also paying the salaries of Congresscritters, their staff, and a huge cast of supporting characters, and you're supporting a huge non-working population (in addition to the non-working population of Congress), and building billion-dollar bridges to noplace...

See? It doesn't feel any better to know where the money goes, does it?
