Let me say, although the claim of Stull cemetary has supposedly been debunked... Once you visit the city (or lack of city) you can definitely see there is some truth to it.

There are actually 2 cemetaries in Stull. One inside of the city limits, and a second one right outside of town (and I put my money on that cemetary being the one that the legend sits behind). The one in town is completely shut off, and the only way someone can enter it is to bring documentation showing that a relative is buried there. The second one is on top of a hill that looks over the city. Freaky thing is, the road is easily seen from the cemetary, but from the road you can see absolutely nothing. Infact, if you didn't know where to look, you would likely miss it.

It is pretty creepy, and if you aren't a believe to start will, your mind will likely be changed.

I always thought the seven "gates" were the Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Gluttony, Avarice/Greed, Sloth, Anger/Wrath, Envy and Pride. As Iron Maiden sung...

Seven deadly sins
Seven ways to win
Seven holy paths to hell

Seven downward slopes
Seven bloodied hopes
Seven are your burning fires
Seven you desires

My theory has always remained the same. I mean it's more than obvious where the gate to hell sits. It houses the closest thing on earth to the morning star himself.. Sorry but it's gotta be the whitehouse.

If there are such things, I am fairly certain that there are more than seven. There is a chance that they can maybe be opened at will, or traumatic events at a place like murders may open them up...

I've heard of at least two in the basement of haunted houses, and another strange cave somewhere that constantly has weird orbs of light coming out of it, strange druidic cloaked figures around it, etc.

Interesting.

My theory may be a little odd. ( But then again, isn't this why we're here )

Personally, I don't think the 7 gates ( or any gateway / pathway / portal ) to Hell, Heaven, the 24th 1/2 dimension would be in the obvious place. So searching a cemetery for the hell gateway may not be the best idea. Don't we all recall from movies like Highlander that cemeteries were "Holy" ground?

Plus, Angels and Demons are invisible beings, so in that sense, the gateway wouldn't be visible to any mortal being.

I think there are multiple gateways. As some photos of ghostly "portals" have been photographed, why couldn't there be many ways in to hell?

I remember when I was a little kid, my older Brother told me my closet was the entrance to Hell and it scared the bejesus out of me.

so far there are 2 theories on places that could be a gate to hell, they include highgate cemetery and kentucky's stull cemetery where a satanic church used to be. highgate has a lot of satanist cults and vampires that hang out in the tombs there while stull is said to have Lucifer's son buried amongst the graves, which Lucifer visits every halloween at 12:00 at night, which has got some people wondering because an unknown gatekeeper told press to leave mere minutes before 12. i, however, have a 3rd theory. the bermuda triangle may be a major gate called "Tartarus" where the strongest demons, even stronger than the prince of darkness himself, is said to be held. i was wanting some of your guys' opinions on where some other ones might be because i am looking to visit each an every one when i get a chance.

why dont you do what they do in that movie flatliners and see if anything cool happens. or like in the movie evil dead. there are got to be some book or something that allows people to communicate with satan

It's funny that Kentucky was accidentally mentioned. I lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky for a time, and there is an urban legend there about the gateway to hell.

The first I heard of it was in the months leading up to me moving there. Someone once told me that in one of his sleep trances, Edgar Cayce stated that Bowling Green was a "gateway to hell." (I've never found evidence of him actually saying so; admittedly, I've not done a lot of searching.)

Once I moved to Bowling Green, I mentioned this story to a long-time resident of the town, and she said that though she hadn't heard of the alleged Edgar Cayce statement, that everyone in her high school believed that there was an extensive cave system under a local park which was the meeting place for Satanists and a gateway to hell. I tried to press for details about what exactly supposedly took place there, but she was uncomfortable with the topic and wouldn't say anything else.

Throughout my time in Bowling Green, I attempted to gather more information about it, but all people would say was that it was a bad idea to go to that park after dark and that "bad things" happened there.

There are 7 different continents on earth so there is probably one gate on each continent.

Highgate Cemetary is in London (for the person who asked). Everytime I'm in London and on the tube I always end up going pass it, one way or another.

If you do visit, make sure you visit the correct one, as there is the regular Highgate Cemetary, which is the one most people know about and blah blah (I'm having a bad day trying to describe things today, bear with me!) which is probably the one the scene-goths are trying to hang out at.
Then there is the original, with big, walk in tombs. That's the one the Highgate Vampire (ok, not a real vamp as such, but classed one anyways) was mutilated and burned and buried. Look it up (Highgate Vampire Myth) or words to that effect, real good bed time read!

Hope that helps somewhat OP

Well in Dantes Inferno after he went through all the levels of hell, he then walked through heavens gate to see his love. So of course heaven only needs one gate if you have to make it though all those gates and levels of hell.

I agree with you. Also I doubt the gates to hell when be in some place so obvious and literal as a cemetery or a haunted house. Not only would the gates be invisible I think they would be in places in nature. The Bermuda triangle makes some sense. It is a beautiful but strange place and wasn't Lucifer the most beautiful angel in heaven, so of course he would want his gate to be in beautiful places(vanity)

Why do these gates have to be in the US?, after all the country isnt that old.

If Satan existed the gates would surely be somewhere in Europe/the Middle East because these places have had people living there for 1000`s of years and the notion of the devil/Satan is way older then 400 years.

The country isn't that old be the land is. If you want the gates to be a secret why not put one in the unknown 'new world'? Plus before settlers the native Americans were here for quite a while before they showed up and the have many 'devil' stories.

Lucifer had a son? What was his name? Who was his mother? How did he die? When did he live? Did he have a kids? Did he have a wife? Does Lucifer have a grandchild as well?
