Aparently 'They' have found a new planet identicle to earth in a solar system consisting of 3 planets. Is that right?

Not quite. The planet is not "identical" to earth. It is about 1.5 times the size but 3 times as dense, its sun is about 1/5th the strength/brightness of ours, and they are not sure whether it is covered with rocks or water. They also are not sure if it has an atmosphere. If it does, it is probably a lot hotter than earth because it is closer to its sun; if it does not, it is a lot colder than earth because there is no atmosphere to trap the heat.

well they think its in the "habitable" zone from the sun. although it is closer to its sun than we are from ours, its a red dwarf star so its considerably cooler than our sun so the planet can be closer and therefore potentially habitable.

They haven't even seen it yet, just noticed a tell-tale wobble of the red dwarf. So the whole story is a little bit of science and a huge helping of what-if speculation!

Me thinks if aliens have visited Earth or do visit our Solar System, they'd probably come from this Solar System with the planet similar to Earth some 20 light years away.

20 light years is a hella long distance. if we could match the speed of light with our bodies with a technology, it would take us 20 human Earth measurement years (12 months each) travelling @ the speed of LIGHT to get there.

So in the distant future, a crew is picked from adolescence to pilot the first light speed mission to this place. At puberty they begin training, and are launch into space @ age 18.

they wouldnt even GET THERE til they were 38 years old .. lol, at the speed of light. so obviously yes that is feasible but highly unlikely, which leads me to believe that if an alien tech exists, it would be faster than light. or not involving light as a main component of speed..

A lot of fuss has been made over the discovery of this Earth like planet. Planets like this are not uncommon in the universe in my view and will be found more and more as our detection techniques and our science advances. We've been able to find many large jupiter sized planets in the past, planets that are not very likely homes of life, due to the fact that they're big and therefore easier to detect.
