Looking for a good read...... help!

I am interested in the paranormal, people who write non fiction books about psychic experiences, higher learning in psychc energy and the like. I am interested in people who have done the whole Rosicrucian thing and know and tell about having higher experiences with the energy of the universe.

My friend is wanting something like this to read during some free time she has coming up.
Anyone know some good books that fit this description?
