An island made by global warming

The map of Greenland will have to be redrawn. A new island has appeared off its coast, suddenly separated from the mainland by the melting of Greenland's enormous ice sheet, a development that is being seen as the most alarming sign of global warming.

People may disagree as to whether or not global warming is man-made or not, but there's no mistaking the fact that we live in environmentally interesting times.

I look forward to seeing if any signs of civilization turn up on this speck of land. I specifically have in mind the type of thing that's shown up in the North Sea recently, villages, et al.
