Looks like a combination of the Su27 Flanker and the F-22.

Always seems like they rip off our designs (the USA) doesn't it? This is obviously similar to the F-22 Raptor. Granted we ripoff some of their design as well, like vectored thrust back when.

Please tell me that's not the final design..
I don't like it!
Esp those minature vert fins!
Makes it look almost... impotent!!

Not final I'm sure, however the vertical and horizontal stabilizers are smaller due to the use of vectored thrust. Most likely even higher degree of VT than on previous designs.

IMO that picture cannot be taken as evidence of the actual design for the T-50. I think it is on the same level as all the ATF imagery that was bandied around before the YF-22/23 prototypes wee revealed (see ghost's 'concept aircraft' thread for an example of the Lockheed ATF artwork).

I don't think we will get to see the real design until the prototype itself is revealed.

it does look sweet though.
We will have to wait and see its development.
IF FUNDED.
It will be changed somewhat

what do ya think?

I think.

Those planes are first created on paper - Then it is created through many nights and days of technical development - the engines - the arodynamics - And all the componets from basic rubber tyres to the mounted glass cockpit - created by special glass types.

It end up in 3D graphics - so we can have a look how the outcome will be of all those hours spend on creating these beast's.

I think it looks cool.

The purpose of these toys is not so cool - But - cool in a sense they can trash other high-tech type of weapons - such as tanks radar and other planes - Is in a way cool - But it kills.

I dunno if killing is particulary cool - But I KNOW for a fact that's what these machines are for.

It's like pushing a button on a joystick and hightech bombs fly to their destination with utmost precision.

I kinda like the Idea of a soldier on a horse - With colorfull things painted on him and the horse. - I actually think that is more cool - Or maybe it's more stupid, but it looks better. Or looks more human - like you can describe the plates of armor - hold it in your hand - And know what it is. It' can melt around 1500 C and higher - just like the steel in the 911 conspiracy.

Those new planes - just fly through the skies - and the pilot is part of a bee hive. Under command by the Generals and Presidents - Maybe it's a more natural way of war, because it sorta mimic nature - Bee hives - Birds and whales - Lions and Lizards.
Maybe it's the perfection that is the purpose of war, to become God.

Maybe the path of the human race is to strive for perfection - In my eyes that plane looks close to perfection.
You ever heard the exspression "Art Of War" ??? - Is war really an art-form??
Painting the world with machines of war - yes - maybe it is art.
So this machine is actually what an artist hold in he's hand - just like an airbrush - a pencil - Or somthing similar that create the lines, or change the surface of the paper with the paint - The PAINT in this scenario of war - is the bullets - the bombs the shells, and the explosions and the humans who have to die in the procces.
And out come the result of the art - Somthing unexplainable. Thats (perhaps) why so many people say wars cannot be explained. And the only people seeing an end to war is those who dies durring the procces.

That plane looks excactly like an airbrush.

Thats how they have painted the world for thousands of years, and we know nothing else.

I wouldn't say "rip off". The plane is clearly different and influenced by Russian aircraft. Yes, it resembles an F-22. But it resembles a whole lot of other aircraft, too. Does the PAK-FA rip off the F-15, the shape of the wings is similar and it has two tails. Or did it rip off the F-18? The rear part's getting pretty similar there.

Right. Anyway, there are only so many ways you can design a plane in today's methods. There's bound to be a resemblance, and until the plane is rolled out, I'd hold off pointing the "rip off" fingers.

We don't entertain the concept of rip-offs here on the Aircraft Forum..

Pointing out similarities with collaborations/espionage accounts to back that up are definitely welcome(because ppl DO rip-off stuff), but empty accusations are a real bore here..

Even if things are proven to be a direct import of foreign know-how(with or w/o
originator consent); we just acknowledge that and leave it there.

now back on topic..
Any recent(06-07) plasma stealth rumors associated with this finalised program?

It's similar to the F-22 and has weapons bays so the missiles don't hang off the wings and create drag and radar signature problems.

Actually, except for the wings and the short stabs, it looks a lot like the F-14 to me (at least from the angle in the most recent concept art).

Very good configuration! The seporate engine bay set will give larger lift coefficient of airframe than F-22. I like it

No-one re-invents the wheel. Not the Americans, not the Russians, not the Brits, French, Germans, Indians, Chinese or anyone else.

If they do, they are stupid.

Everyone builds on previous knowledge learned - no matter where it came from.
