About a year ago , I read a thread that had been started by a girl who was basically asking is schools for Masons exist. I know nothing about secret societies, except for a few Internet discussions I have gone through and read. I remember this thread, because it was so rare I would actually read through a whole thread in this forum. Anyway, everyone basically came to the conclusion that schools dedicated to masons do not exist.

Interesting enough, I was driving up highway 11 in Ontario, going to Muskoka for a weekend. This was a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, for a long stretch of the highway its basically large rocks and trees, hiding small roads that go to one of the lakes up there. While driving I saw a yellow sign standing in front on a tree with a black arrow pointing inward to a road, and on the sign it said School of Masons. This 100% true. My first instinct was to take a photo to post on this board, but the way the highway is set up, you cant do a u turn, and in order to turn around you have to go at least 20 minutes north, exit, and come all the way back around. I figured, on my way back i would either check it out or take a photo.

I was driving back to Toronto, with a friend of mine after the weekend. I told him, about what I had seen and that I wanted to stop and check it out. The problem was it was dark, and we would have to be heading north again to really get onto that road. I did see the sign again, while going back south to Toronto, but for obvious reasons we could not stop. I wanted to share my story, and ask anyone who might have gone up to Muskoka recently if they have seen this. I hope to heading up again this summer, and for sure will get more photos.

Yes there are many schools for masons. Like this one.
But they teach operative masonry, that is to say they teach you how to work with stone.

Edit to add: I noticed on the website linked above, they have six levels of instruction. I bet there is a secret seventh level that no regular stone masons know about

Shame? Why shame? You asked a perfectly reasonable question and someone came forward with a very plausible response. No shame there.

Now if you would have said something like-

"A-HA!! Fools! There are Masonic schools and I have absolute proof. I will be submitting a photo for all you ignorant naysayers out there with conclusive proof that a diabolical school for Masonic overlords is in fact not only in existence, but has highway directional signs pointing it out!!!"

See, then you could bow your head in shame.

But over this, no. Sorry you're going to have to be a lot more shrill and unreasonable before you're permitted to be ashamed.

No such thing as a stupid question; just stupid answers

Actually, there is a real masonic school - you can read about it here.

You see, not so stupid after all...
