Presidential candidate makes reference to
songtitled \"Barbara Ann\" by The Beach Boys which sounds like:

"BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB BOMB IRAN" and relays this in a press conference.

The video goes into some other agenda stuff at around :50 to :56 (end) which you can skip as it doesn't pertain in my view.

Hey I like that song!

if he ever had a chance, in any election.. he just threw it away.
I bet ya he's regretting it now!

Yea what a knucklehead. Don't these candidates have advisors that would, I assume, ADVISE a candidate on the merits of not singing a song like "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran" on national television?

He does have some brass ones though, I'll give him that. After the video came out and the fit hit the shan, he gave the following interview:

Assuming any candidate for national office does not do anything spontaneously, it follows his advisors must have thought that remark was both necessary and would strengthen his appeal to his “core” constituency. That it fell on flat ears shows how far out of touch with real life those advisors must be. If McCain is serious, and I’m not sure he is, then I’d say he needs to shuffle his staff, pronto.

But see this
Concise. Comprehensive. Compelling. These words are descriptive of the book on Iran and America. Beginning with the advent of Zoroastrianism and the much later melding of that faith with the new Arab faith of the Holy Prophet, Islam, we have the origins of Shia explained. The author quickly runs down the millennia of time to the British inspired American coup of 1953, which still forms the basis of Anglo-Iranian Relations. Or NON relations in 2007. You may not like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad better but after this read, you will understand when he is coming from. Read “All the Shah’s Men: An American Coup and the Roots of Middle East Terror” by Stephen Kinzer. 2003.

This does nothing to McCain. He never had a chance in the 1st place. Why would singing a song about bombing your enemy even raise an eyebrow. Like John McCain said "Lighten up!"

It's not like he called the troops stupid, like John Kerry did. Now that was the ultimate political joke gone bad.

Obviously intoxicated...there goes his reputation....

What a dissapointment!

In the Beginning of the of the "war" someone came up with "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iraq" and now he transfers it to Iran. How warmongering like and troublesome. :shk: Goes to show you those people are posessed.

You (they) have no business making jokes like that for all the world to hear. Incredible and not funny.

Nothing like total disrespect from our country to the rest of the world. :shk:

Wasn't this song by the beach boys featured on a 9/11 theory video? I seem to recall it was but forget which vid it was. If so, does that mean McCain is an avid watcher on Google or youtube and takes in the 9/11 theories?! Or is the Bomb Iran twist of the lyrics mainstream?

Someone sent me the flash cartoon a few years ago

I'm sure its still on the Internet somewhere. It was a satire take on the war.

You or I mention the word "bomb" and see what happens.

the "Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran" take-off on the Beach Boy song, "Barabara Ann" has been around for quite a while. I remember hearing it on a local rock station back in the days of the Ayatollah Komeini and the American Hostages. That would place it back in the President Carter or President Reagan era.

The satirical song has certainly made a come back.

Yes a song with many different uses across the decades!

The point is it is a "taunting" and "instigating" song- as sung by one in high office in the most important nation in the world.

Now all we need are Cheney and Bush to sing back up chorus with McCain.

Why are we lowering ourselves like that???????

:shk:

Good for him, when talking to older US vets, you should have humor, and the b-word mixed in.

Personally I think we should bomb, bomb, bomb Iran back into their little caves.

Yeah at the time of Shock and Awe campain they had going on Fox, they played Bombs over Bagdad. It was on the radio constantly. Humor is a good way to deal with the blantent fact that we will go to war with Iran, its all part of the global agenda that doesnt exsist..

What if I sung...oh, I don't know...let's see....

"Bomb bomb bomb....bomb [insert name of American landmark, school, or government building here]"

Would everyone take it lightly and laugh? Or would I be beaten and arrested, and shipped off to Gitmo?

Good Heaven's - it's rather cowardly towards the poor people there, after all - Iran's official statement is the need for electricity. They export almost all of their oil - it takes some time to build a nuclear armament and intercontinental missiles are another thing altogether - of course, I suppose there's the Israeli threat - but Mossad has done a pretty efficient job up to now protecting their own interests.....

Not to mention the majority of people in Iran don't even support the government under this party that is an expression of Khomeni's rabid and militant fundamentalism - which perhaps explains the stepping up of an official policy designed to cow, and divide the people - that of the female dress code being enforced. Iran's government has recently issued a directive for the religious police to step up their enforcement of that legislation - which I suppose will result in the throwing of much more acid into young women's faces.

Someone appears to have had prescient knowledge concerning the official policy of favoritism towards 'bombing Iran', as I remember reading an article on that most stupefying of alternative new's sites a year ago, in which the necessity of bombing Iran is delineated on account of unreachable bunkers.

God have mercy on the people of the world - 'Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss.'
Here's another song for them -

This guy demonstrates less smarts than Bush junior.

Anyone voting McCain needs their head examining.

No kidding! Maybe that is why he came out of the wannabe president's closet and is announcing his candidacy!
Lets keep the tradition going, shall we?

Oh please, people...lighten up. Bad joke, fine. That's all it was...

As far as using an American landmark in place of Iran, oh boy...it's still a bad joke.

Sheesh!!!!

McCain has my vote, we should bomb Iran before they bomb us. Hopefully Bush takes care of that beforehand....
