Newly released papers show British intelligence believed the United States was prepared to invade Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in 1973 to secure control of their oil fieds.

Read the last paragraph also, thats pretty funny.

Great Find Kano!!

In an ironic twist on events of the past 13 years, the British report suggested that if the US seized Kuwait, neighbouring Iraq may try to mount a counter invasion to expel them.

If this is true, than I wonder what the real motive behind the Iraq occupation is.
