www.reuters.com...

This is the first time I have heard a politician say 6 or 7 cities are targets.....anyways....

Nevada Gov. Kenny Guinn said the unprecedented security levels across America stemmed from Homeland Security intelligence "chatter" that six or seven U.S. cities could be targeted for attack.

Im really kind of pissed that we dont know what these cities are, sure we got LA, NY, Washington DC, LV and what other two??Chicago? and????

I think you are right on Alaska. I remember hearing that they will have high security up there so no one could attack oil interests up there.

I've always said Chicago was going to be hit very hard, its only a matter of time, i know a senior member of the local government, i'll be calling up on him as a source in the event of something.

A friend at US Strategic Command says new years leave has been cancelled!

I would bomb all elite universites in the country and one in New York. Most effective way to make the country start from 0 again. But they look for popular targets so its gonna be the big cities - if they.

But I really dont think it will be Chicago!!!

Dang, hadn't thought of that. I was just going for lowly populated places that would be tragic, but not 9-11 tragic...

I live in Milwaukee so I pray nothing happens in CHicago, especially something involving a nuke or a Chemical/Biological attack. I dont wish any city to be hit, but being as close to Chicago as I am really makes me more nervous than I probably would be if I lived in say.....Billings.

Unfortunatelly, Chicago has been targeted in the past. That dirty material which made it over the border of Canada into the US before we picked it up was picked up in Chicago. Plus, Chicago has (again, finally!) the busiest airport in the world, O'Hare. Security is mad tight there, but it most likely would be a target, either now, or in the future.

According to CNN (Could Not be News) Miami is a possible target because of it's seaport.

MIAMI, Florida -- Security is being increased at airports, borders and ports as the nation stands at "Code Orange," the second-highest alert level for terrorist threats. The upgrade from "Code Yellow," or elevated status, followed warnings from the federal government that al Qaida may be plotting attacks on America during the holidays. The new designation indicates a high risk.

www.cnn.com...

I hope not. I'm only 2 or 3 hours north of Miami.

Well, this MUST be true if they heard it in the homeland security "chatter"!

How come nobody ever targets St. Louis anymore? Back in the cold war days we were always being targeted thanks to McDonell-Douglas, now we just sit here being overshadowed by Kansas City and Chicago. Oh well......

Hopefully Denver isn't one of those cities.
In Colorado,

New Year's Security No Tighter Than Usual

Ain't that nice?
Let's tell everyone all about it, shall we?

An attack on major universities would make perfect sense, afterall that is where all our new technology and military projects start!
