The potential for any ill will of this sort to Obama is disturbing. I am reminded how Ret. Gen. Colin Powell (former chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff) felt his chance of running for president and as a black man is dangerous after his wife Alma Powell received hate mail in 1996. And that was over ten years ago. I still feel Obama’s candidacy for president is based on race, IMO.

I dunno. I have doubts as to the dedication of racists in this day and age. I think most of society has grown out of that embarrassment. If Obama were to be assassinated, it would probably be one of the only Presidential assassinations that had very little conspiracy attached to it.

However, what if Ron Paul were elected? I think he'd stand a much greater chance of assassination. He's totally anti-establishment. Kennedy initiated action to abolish the IRS and 7 months later he was assassinated. On a side note, he felt the CIA had become too powerful and independent of oversight. He ordered the investigation by the FBI. There's a great documentary (50 mins into the video) that placed Bush Sr. in Texas the day of his assassination, then in Hoovers office the next day. And Bush Sr. ends up being head of the CIA after never before "working" for them? That's weird.

Ron Paul opposes the IRS and the CIA. If we're talking conspiracy assassinations here, I'd give Paul 5-1 odds over Obama. Obama is too Pro-Establishment. He'll give the REAL guys running the country whatever they want. He'll be the next Bill Clinton.

Edit: for time placement.

Well to quote the comedian Dave Chappelle "I'd love to be president, but I wouldn't want to be that first guy, he's in for some rough times." The second Obama makes a wrong decision he'll have most of the racists in this country saying it's because of his race. I'll say he's pretty brave, if nothing else.

I must disagree with you. I think Colin woke up and decided for himself that his use as a tool was not where he really stood. He got out- not because he feared assassination- he got out because he figured it out.

Here is a link to my blog which has a detailed, but simple breakdown in what I feel is the real story. It is always much simpler- but the relevance can get lost in translation. The details are too easy to get stuck in, then the big picture gets lost.

darrellkern.blogspot.com...

I know I will get rapped and tagged as a racist. I expect that from folks who get stuck in the details. My thesis is my own conclusions and the reason I did not use links to prove my point as those are the details where the ultimate point gets lost.

I assure any who reads it that I am not a racist. I love all humans as they are my species.

In the end its really JMO as well.

My editor is under the weather, so please forgive my grammar- passion causes many mistakes in conveyance of ideals because It doesn't stop for inconsequential details like grammar! However an opposing force will likely use this against me, which is key to exposure! The truth is I am a lousy typist!

I use my real name. I have nothing to hide. My beliefs are my own and I am proud of them. I do not fear critics and I do not invite praise- I only hope to inspire that people never be afraid to state our beliefs or where we each stand. Everyone of us has a voice and everyone of us has the right to express it.

There is no where to hide and no reason to hide.

Let the opposition have it- and let them know you are not afraid. What are they gonna do kill you? Schitt, what do you think they are attempting to do anyway?

There is nothing to lose and nothing to fear!

Each of us was sold into freedom- now lets hold em to it!!!!!!!

I seriously doubt anything will happen to Barack Hussein Obama. He's on the Council of Foreign Relations like the rest of the candidates, except for Ron Paul of course. He was probably picked for his appeal to minorities. Yeah, he talks a good game, but will he live up to any of it if he makes it to office? Most politicians look great before elections, then pull a 360 for corporate interests. I don't think this will be any different.

It can be argued that Obama is reminiscent of John F. Kennedy--young, idealistic, inspiring, a great speaker--and therefore may be subject to Kennedy's fate. Such a leader is bound to evoke all sorts of negative emotions in the unbalanced or just plain evil. One has to remember, though, that there have been threats and attempts to assasinate every president in the past century and maybe before, we just don't hear about them and all the efforts that are made to prevent them beforehand. We know about Ford and Reagan only because those attempts nearly succeeded. It's always dangerous to be a president. The good news is security has gotten better in recent years. Those of us who want to see Obama become the POTUS will have to hope and pray for his safety.

It would actually be very easy for the government to assassinate Barack Obama.

All the government has to do, is say some crazy ass white supremecist shot him. That would be an easy cover-up, that people would believe.

I could easily be drawn into the picture you've painted here. It's easy on the eyes.

With all the underlying racial tension that exists in this country today, (yes... it's REALLY there) the opportunity to blame an assassination on a fringe supremist group is almost too tempting isn't it? You're absolutely correct- people would believe.

Then the cities would begin to burn, just like South Central LA, April 1992.

Who knows, if it happens before the "elections", this may be the catalyst for martial law.

See ya in the FEMA camp! I get top bunk!

Roger that- 100%. The CinC is the boss, regardless of who it is, and how you or I feel about it personally.

I see, so it's not the rule of law anymore, which would mean that The Constitution is the 'boss', but the rule of the POTUS. So then, we are no longer a nation of laws, but a nation of men. The rule of law is no longer supreme, but the rule of men. Do you think this to be freedom? I call it tyranny.

Absolutely not! You misunderstand my words sir. The POTUS is the primary defender of the Constitution. The executive branch is charged with management of the laws.

The Constitution IS the law, no matter what.

Regardless, the CinC demands the respect and obedience of the people, based on the sacred trust he/she has been elected to uphold.

There's no saying that the CinC can't or won't violate that trust.

As for tyranny, I feel my signature speaks pretty clearly how I feel about that subject.

We on the same page here?

What then about a president who does not respect the constituition and refers to it as a "goddamned piece of paper"?

That IS a sticky wicket, isn't it?

I've not in recent years claimed to like "W", but I need to stick with my previous statement that he IS the CinC, and demands all due respect.

I respect the office, not necessarily the man.

I dunno....

You see something like this, and it makes you wonder.

Secret Service Stops Security Screening at Obama Rally

Forget about after an election to the presidency, as suggested by the OP. What about before?

Interesting.... Lately i have been thinking that Obama could be the Antichrist referred to in Revelations. I thought Mabus was an Osama/Bush
anagram.

Understood. THX for the clarification, but as grover pointed out, when the CiC blatantly disregards his oath of office, one must choose between loyalties. To me there is no choice. Any enmity shown to the constitution disqualifies one for the office of CiC IMO, whether in word or deed, and Bush has demonstrated both.

Interesting

Immediately brought to mind Kennedy's refusal to be separated from the people by adequate security.

Just in the interest of integrity, I'd like to point out that my attempt to set a date was incorrect (as it was almost certain to be, considering the factors I used to come up with it).

In case anybody is wondering, that "prediction" was based on, among other things, the birthdate of the patriarch of the Rothchild family and a few little known religious holidays falling on that date. It was the meeting of a lot of NWO symbolism with practical real world motives and opportunities. But it still didn't happen.

I'd say that with Obama's campaign going so well and still nothing having happened, we are just about at the point where we stick a fork in the idea of him being shot. At every turn, with every passing month and week, the situation has become simpler and more direct, and it's getting to the point where it just wouldn't even be a mystery if Obama got shot.

Now I'm going to do something very uncharacteristic of me. I'm going to get into unjustified specifics with a prediction.

If it's going to happen at all, Obama will be shot on February 23rd at University of Texas, probably by a foreigner, probably a Russian. He will die. If he were to live however, there would be numerous coincidences that would be pointed to as marking it as his "fate" to live.

My reasons for predicting this are quite absurd but I am willing to go into them. I do not consider this prediction very likely to be fulfilled. I'm not nuts.

I don't mean to go too far off topic, but in fact it is the SCOTUS, not the President, that is given the primary power to interpret and defend our constitution, it is the president's duty to execute the law, not to manage it, and in this time, where that office seeks to magnify its powers and its glory beyond the bounds of our constitution, patriotism dictates a treatment of that office which may indeed be considered disrespectful.

I agree that the man is a secondary factor- but I believe that the treatment deserved by that office at this point in time is a treatment designed to keep it within its legitimate bounds, not a treatment designed primarily to esteem that office.

I don't know if any of you have been to prison lately but raceisim is alive and doing fine. You can't even eat with a black man if you are another race such as white, mexican , etc. (at least in calif.) or you'll get stabbed!! Only black and oriential can co-habitate as they call it. I am christian and love all people. But the sad reality is that if obama is president the raceist will kill him at once. I will pray for him, but I have seen the truth in prison. and with prisoners at an all time high, and bursting open... You do the math

gee it looks like I may have been right. [I hate when that happens] It seems that Hillary is open to a shared ticket. If this happens I really hope that the rest of my prediction does not come true. If so we are really in for a rough time.
