Hi all

I ran across this bizarre location in GoogleEarth while exploring Bohemian Grove. This place is located about 30 miles north of the BH area.

Can someone either point me in the direction of a thread where this has already been discussed and dissected or help me out with the symbolism expressed at this very bizzare location?

Also, if this hasn't been discussed elsewhere, can someone tell me where I can look at the "how to post pictures" guidelines or post some pictures of this place for me?

Here's the Google Earth coordinates for the most bizzare shrines I have seen
!

38°37'25.98"N 123°19'08.30"W

No replies yet?

Hmmm...okay, here goes nothing. I hope I am not breaking the image posting rules but since I can't seem to find any (I've looked!) I'll give it a try. Here's a few pictures of the area on Google Earth (coordinates above) I am hoping to get some thoughts on about the symbolism:

Basically out in the middle of nowhere...which makes it even more mysterious.

It's about 30 miles northwest of Bohemian Grove or Monte Rio, CA and 3-4 miles inland of the Pacific ocean.

I was thinking Egyptian myself with all the pyramids, but now that you mention it, it does look like it has some chinese influences also.

The other thing I found interesting was that in this picture, the 4 golden fixtures on the inside square are like the points of a compass. They are exactly N, S, E, W. A compass on a square? Masonic?

These structures are very large. For instance this one is 500,000 square feet from the edges of the moot and the pyrimid itself is 125' x 125':

all the lodges in my town are inconspicious brick boxes with no windows. these seem a little too much for masons, especially since they have no "god" to impress. how do you know it is mason?

Actually I am not sure if they are Masonic or not. Though I did find it interesting that the golden fixtures on the square pointed exactly N, S, E, and W. Compass/square?

I'm no expert on all this symbolism which is why I posted them here. Was looking for people who had more experience than I to try to figure out what this place meant...I am experienced enough to know there is definate symbolism going on here...I just don't know what!

Hmmm....here's another strange structure about 2 1/2 miles west of the first pictures. Is that an oblisk I see and does anyone else see a cat in front of the main building?

Google Earth coordinates: 38°37'58.97"N 123°21'50.99"W

LOL...what the heck is going on in California????!!!!

This thing is on the dirt road leading to the oblisk picture above about 1/2 mile away...also in the middle of nowhere. Is this some kind of statue?

Those coordinates correlate to a location in Northern Chile... You know, in South America.

The "Masonic" shenanigans you've actually happened upon is actually the Odiyan Buddhist Retreat Center.

The real conspiracy that I'd like to discuss is why a certain group is incapable of utilizing Google. There must be a gene that the Reptilian Overlords are steadily breeding out of the "herd."

Activating Google Earth Community lists it as the "King Ridge Road Buddhist Monastery".

Link here

Farthest point north: Stewarts Point/Tin Barn/King Ridge Road. This is the ride where you can see the golden domes of the Buddhist monastery peeking out above the forests of Sonoma county...

Thanks much...I edited the coordinates to correct....not sure how that happened. Also thanks for the information on it being a buddist retreat...I myself couldn't find any markers on any maps for such a place.

Thanks again for the info.....though I could have done without the sarcasm.

Thanks for the tip. The link you provided isn't working for me but it's helpful to know there is a Google Earth community (saves to favorites) I can go to when I have questions about using it.

From above they look like Asian temples. A Buddhist Monastery is a very good possibility. I think the title of this thread is a bit misleading. I am not sure how someone came to the conclusion that they were “Masonic” Shrines in CA. The thread should have been titled “weird, strange or unknown” shrines in CA.

Actually, the Academy Awards are usually held in the Masonic Shrine Auditorium in L.A.
