I dont' mean global domination, but what's your stance on manifest destiny?

My stance: Some say it can't be stopped, but other people are too power hungry. I do not plan or intend on conquering the world but I can really see the country headed in the wrong direction if people want to continue to have five wars per decade.

Q #1: What's your stance on manifest destiny?
Q #2: Will it bring the "downfall of western civilization"?
Q #3: Do you support the New World Order George H Bush spoke about in 1991 during the war in Iraq?

World domination? I'm up for it. Assuming that it could be done without unnecessary bloodshed that is. If I had some kind of billion unit robotic army, or I could simply write a check to buy the world I would. But that's not how it is, so I'm not going to waste lives to do it. I'll admit that I wouldn't mind having control of more nations, but I wouldn't send soldiers to their deaths just for the sake of controlling those nations. If we were to find ourselves invading a nation because they were a threat then I figure we may as well get something out of it since we went through the trouble.

Will it bring the downfall of western civilization? Yes and no. I feel that by bringing multipule cultures under one flag we won't see the downfall of western culture in a negative way. If anything we'll probably see a new kind of civilization, one that hopefully combines positive aspects of all cultures under our flag. But then again, you've seen what kind of work Hollywood goes does there's no guarantee it'll all be positive.

A #1: I think Manifest Destiny is one of the most ignorant ideologies that
has ever been believed by people in not only American, but world history.

I do think that it would never work in the modern world, as not only would
not enough people believe it, but the rest of the world would attack the
country trying it.

A #2: Well, it could, but if nukes were used, it would bring the downfall
of human civilization, not just Western.

A #3: Considering I have no idea what GHWB actually meant, nor do I
think it was neccessarily a good thing, no I do not.

However, I do support the formation of regional blocs and a world
government, so long as it is peaceful, democratic, free and all states
join, not be forced into it.

Basically manifest destiny is done with as we have taken all the land from the east coast to the west. The meaning behind manifest destiny has been completed.

Q #1: What's your stance on manifest destiny?

As it has been completed in it's historic sense I believe that it's too late to do anything about it or to be pro or con on the concept...

Q #2: Will it bring the "downfall of western civilization"?

Apparently it hasn't so far, in fact I believe that it has created western civilization.

Q #3: Do you support the New World Order George H Bush spoke about in 1991 during the war in Iraq?

Not the NWO That George the elder talked about no. I believe in a one world government that is a true democracy, that would uphold individual freedoms and individual rights. But the way NWO is portrayed by many I do not believe in.
