before contemplating euthanasia you'll have to contemplate how we got into overpopulation the first place.
it's simply not true that people opted to breed like rabbits, it was afaik, forced on them by a wicked system, the 'aristocracy', ie. the Elites whose successors are apparently still doing their best to destroy humanity, one generation at a time.

that said, the problem has been invented by the elites, its solution is designed to give them even more power, obviously. can you imagine being able to sentence someone to deathat your whim while everyone accepts it as a necessary evil? it is the ultimate power, to pervs at least.

i predict the end result of such developments would be large scale extinction, accompanied by a total loss of civilisation, because anyone who embraces it would be artificially devolved and destroyed, anyone who refused would be destroyed and the only survivors would be people who get overlooked. welcome to the stone age, reloaded.
