The lawyer and parents of American-born Taliban soldier John Walker Lindh asked President Bush on Wednesday to commute his 20-year prison term, citing the case of an Australian man who was sentenced to less than a year for aiding terrorism.

I know this sounds harsh, but I truly believe this guy should have been executed for treason.

I think it's an insult to the American people to ask for any more of a lenient sentance than he already got. If he does go through with this, I think the plea agreement should be nullified and the United States should seek the death penalty against him.
