I used to always use them to go back to the home page of ATS, BTS, or PTS when I don't feel like pressing the back button. Now I always accidentally click on one and it brings me to another forum.

The new look is completely unnecessary

I was about to make a thread saying i liked it lol so ill just say it here instead.

I guess it didn't need an overhaul, but the new look doesn't bother me.

I'm just too used to using them to go back to the home page of whatever forum I'm on.

I see a button called board home, maybe that gets me back to the home page.
