McGotti: See how it pains them to say that Jesus is black. They will go so far as to say He has a disease like being an albino before saying He is black.

Some of them are so offended of the idea of jesus being a black man that im now being called a satanist by some of them lol..

But considering thats mainly coming from a racist ignorant[neo],I am not really suprised by Neo's actions,he couldnt convince us that he was "the wisest of us all" so he has to resort to calling me a satanist.

To adovcate that Jesus is a black is to be a satanist? I think a lot of people here are going to Hell...and there's nothing I can do about it.

The discussion of his skin tone has quite degenerated.

Using the same information given throughout this thread, I could just as well prove that he is a drow. Now wouldn't that put the cat amongst the pigeons - Millions of Christians all over the world have worshipped a drow for two thousand years. I think not - but that is what you get when people insist on judging a person by the tone of his skin, and believe that his worth is based on his colour.

Personally, I envisage Jesus as having a light brown skin, similar to the people who live in the Palestine area today. But that's just my own interpretation. In the end his skin colour is irrelevant, since the importance is in his heart, soul and message.

colonel, you are funny, really you are.

It doesn't affect me or bother me if Jesus is or was Black...I am not a racist, I am one of the most color blind people you will ever have the pleasure to ever come across, my father is half black, half indian. My grandfather on my dad's side is black. I come from a very diverse family, with lots of color and color doesn't bother me. The problem with yours and mcgotti's statement is that words can interpreted in different ways to suit your agendas.

Jesus was Jew, he lived in the Middle East, he looked like a Jewish middle easterner, who was probably "bronze" in color and that is not black, that is the color of most arabs!!!!!!

I don't believe he was an Albino, but it is just as possible for him to be an albino as it is possible for him to be black.

and Albinoism is not leprosy, however you refuse to acknowledge this, even after I provided you with the full description of lepers and leprosy that you yourself only partially quoted. Leprosy described in the bible is more suited to diseases like measles, chicken pox and small pox maybe even ebola, not albinoism. so please don't misconstrue the facts.

I think Neo has an ulterior motive for attcking this thread because I could have sworn that the thread

"What would you do is jesus was gay"

would have evoked a more stern response from them than this topic. Its rediculous and hypocritical.

Yes you can thank yourself and the others that come in here and keep telling us that " this thread is over" or " this thread has lost its importancy"

This thread was going good untill people started coming in here and continually making statements such as the one you have made.

I swear I have never posted any message on someones elses thread that would entail that I thought that the thread was now over...that rediculous and immature!

I agree, Deep.
As I have said for many years.

Very well that we shouldnot use the color of our skin to promote ourselves and put us above other people. But true shall be true, and the knowledge of the Truth shall set you free. Knowledge says that most prophets and holy men were black. For the rightious this sets him free. This gives him fulfillment.

Blessings,
Mikromarius

When you say the truth shall set you free, you really have NO idea what that means, do you? Fulfillment? Ha!

look at how you twist peoples words in an attempt to prove yourselves right at any cost. colonel, this is the reason it is so dificult to hold a discussion with you is you, not because you are always correct. you play the race card when you have nothing left. you are a racist.

the biblical statement that the color of his feet is similar (or possibly even identical) to a black persons is enough evidence for you to believe jesus was black.

so why is the biblical statement that the color of his head was white not enough evidence for you to believe he was white?

edit: btw, i do not in any way believe that jesus was white, just offering proof(as if its needed) that you are close-minded, and care only about prooving yourself to be correct in all instances.

Its weird, when somebody asked a reasonable question , the con colonel doesnt answer...hmmmm

I already answered this question.

so why is the biblical statement that the color of his head was white not enough evidence for you to believe he was white?

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;

Hers my interpitation of this line..tell me if you thinks its plausible.

why would he need to use two words to describe how white his hair was...iI feel that "white as snow" does more than enough to give the idea of how white his hair was.
I feel that the use of the phrase "white LIKE wool" is just pertaining to it being "white, and like wool"

kind of like this..."his hair was like wool, white as snow"
just phrased as white, like wool, white as snow"

I know I changed the words around and im not saying that is what it means but I think it is more plausible then using two words to describe simply his hair color. If using the phrase"white LIKE wool" only pertains to color and not texture...then why is it followed by "white AS snow"

so your interpretation of a this verse in the bible is proof? an interpretation is nothing but an opinion based on loose facts, and in this situation, the facts are as loose as can be.

quoted-dunkleskates----[so your interpretation of a this verse in the bible is proof? an interpretation is nothing but an opinion based on loose facts, and in this situation, the facts are as loose as can be.

So which part of my statement did you over look in you quest tp prove yourself smarter than the rest of us???

did you miss this part???...
Heres my interpitation of this line..tell me if you thinks its plausible.

which part sounds like Im claiming this to be fact???

Was it this part in which you claimed that I am speaking fact??

I know I changed the words around and im not saying that is what it means but I think it is more plausible then using two words to describe simply his hair color.

I thought I made it pretty clear that this was simply an idea about the interprepation...

Im really confused as to how you came to the conclusion that I was claiming that as fact.

quoted-dunkleskates----so his head as well as his hair was white as wool, as white as snow, so unless his head also resembled wool, then it is a comparison of colors.

I was addressing that fact that YOU claimed your interption to be the only plausible idea and I showed that it is not the only way to interpet that phrase

How did you get confused on that??

I am not saying that Its fact that jesus was black!!I have stated over and over again what im tying to figure out.

I simply want to explore our reasons for the perception of the image of jesus that we have today. The accepted color of jesus today can be construed as an effect of our acceptible social norms.I dont know how many times I have to say that.

i apoligize for assuming your belief that jesus was black based on your constant agreeance with and from colonel.

i never claimed my interpretation to be fact or the only plausible idea, it was to show that the bible is metaphorical, and not to be taken literally. you dont believe that jesus actually had a sword sticking out of his mouth, do you?

you cannot use a verse from the metaphorical bible as proof of anything.

yes, you play the race card. the statement you made that i quoted in the post above is an example. i have not been on ats for a very long time, but i have personally witnessed you play the race card numerous times when you are losing an argument.

i have noticed that the general opinion of you by most ats members is negative because you make it very difficult to discuss anything with you. you twist words and play the race card so as to make it hard to prove you wrong without ruffling a few feathers.

I do not agree with colonel that Jesus was absolutly black. He seemed to only become somewhat militant after we started getting attacked by Neo and the others who were trying to stop this thread because THEY didnt want to see it growing anymore.

Your absolutly right when you say that nothing from the bible can used as fact. But we have not relied on the bible as our only source of evidence....

The bible quotes were only ONE part of the evidence we have brought fourth for the sake of the discussion.

The african jews that have an direct link to the rabbis in israel, more of a link than most of the jews living in israel.
The black maddona,
scripture,
and the fact of how the christian religion was spread by force!
Back then you either accepted what the said or you were dead,so Im sure it wasnt to hard for most people to accept chriatianity no matter what their views were.

so the truth of the color of jesus could have easily been lost throught out the ages...hence the point of this thread was to come to an idea of how we have come to our present day image of jesus.

I never said it was over. Just that the constant baiting of each other from intelligent people is somewhat irritating.

Does it really mean so much to people what Jesus's skin colour was ? Would he be any different if he was dressed in a different coloured skin or would he still be Jesus ? Its him and his message that counts, not his colour.

This obsession on skin colour is what has caused years of racism. Why is one man a better man than another purely because they have different skin tones ?

Utter bollix if you ask me.

Listen, I just tell the truth. If you don't like the truth, that's something you will have to deal with. Furthermore, people generally know that they can kiss my ass and that I don't care what they think of me but you're new so yu wouldn't know that.

Now, McGotti, Datruth, and myself have brought factual evidence as to showing the ethnicity of Jesus. Can you refute it?

ERRRRR! NO!
