They may look like nothing or everything. Just a psychic emanation so it would look different to everybody. The emanation would allow us to picture them as we wished

what if they are too small or big for us to notice? What if we are being visited by microsopic aliens? or aliens are so huge that we are the smallest thing known to them, like the quark to us

My view is that they look like this. This was the alien from the x-files in the cage that keeps saying "this is not happening"
