Now Taiwan's F-CK-1C/D can fit CFT result in its combat radius could reaching Shanghai or Hongkong. Each CFT on F-CK-1C/D would contain 1200lb fuel. The F-CK-1C/D fiited CFT make people who saw it associative the profile to YF-23.

sorry, I couldn't find an accurate word to discrible "to associate with sth in thinking". The "associateive" here may be wrong grammar, but frankly, English are really not adundant as Chinese.
who can give the English word.

why does the front of the air craft look like that of a mig-29?

its very comparable to an F-16A - with an upgraded APG-66 (GD-53) although lower TWR , so more rather and upgrade for the F5`s rather than a replacement for the bloack 20`s they have.

it can carry 4 amraam.

People who think it associative of the YF-23 (or whatever way it was written) must have very vivid imaginations, emile

And they can't do designations properly can they? "F-CK-1C/D"?????

What a load of over-complicated cobblers! Why not just "FC-1E" for example?

I can see why people say the 23 due to the bulges over the engines. Any idea of their purpose?

It carries improved electronic warfare systems, and 771kg more fuel, so I'd say it has something to do with one of those two.

hmmm I guess myself I've heard bad things about add on tanks etc for the 16 and 17 so I'd assume there are some draw backs with this as well. One being RCS (not sure if had much of one to begin with)

I don't know what does K for, but F obviously means FIGHTER, C means China. K maybe means Kingkuo, or meaning of design by themself(ourself). Not sure.

I don't know what it means, I just think it is way too complicated. I mean, we all know that the bomber variant derived from the F-15D is the F-15E, without it having to be called the 'F-15C-2-BV' (which would stand for '2seater, bomber variant')

That is a fictional example of course that I made up, but do you see what I'm getting at?

Its the over loved baby of the Taiwanese defense industry thats why it has a long and useless name.

F denotes fighter
CK denotes Ching-kuo the name of the politician the fighter was named after
1 probably is the same as the series number on other aircraft

In a 2006 interview in Jane's Defence Weekly, former AIDC Chairman Sun Tao-Yu said that two new prototypes were manufactured. The upgrade would allow the IDF to carry an additional 771 kg of fuel. In addition, it includes an improved avionics suite, retrofitted electronic warfare capabilities, and new weapons systems. The landing gear has been strengthened to accommodate the additional payload and fuel, but the plan for a dielectric radar-absorbing "stealth" fuselage was dropped due to concerns over weight.
