6 People Alive After Missing For 2 Weeks In Indonesian Sea

newsinfo.inquirer.net

AMBON, Indonesia -- Six people were found alive after being missing for more than two weeks in eastern Indonesian waters, an official said Saturday.

"[Friday] night Doctor Juliana Carolus and friends, who were missing since February 28, were found alive in the Dobo waters," ministry of health official Rustam Pakaya told Agence France-Presse.

Carolus, head of the health office in the Tanimbar isles, with five of her staff, left on a speedboat on February 27 from the town of Saumlaki on the way to Kormomolin, about two hours away by speedboat.

The story is somewhat incomplete. Did not not mention that they were on a boat or something when they were found in the sea.

Lacking some important details, but this question has to be asked; can someone really survive for more than two weeks in a sea? If they were on a boat with enough supplies, probably yes. Or probably they landed in an island. But, if they were just floating or holding onto something at sea, then, this is quite surprising. Anyway, need to get more details or updates on this story before jumping to any conclusion.
