why would other people criticize us???I thought our country is god..America=human rights..disobey America=evil country.

On March 6, the U.S. Department of State released its Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2006. As in previous years, the State Department pointed the finger at human rights conditions in more than 190 countries and regions, including China, but avoided touching on the human rights situation in the United States. To help the world people have a better understanding of the situation in the United States and promote the international cause of human rights, we hereby publish the Human Rights Record of the United States in 2006.

It's a shame you feel that way about your own country. I for one am pretty proud to be an American. Isn't that the way it should be? There's no other place I'd rather live and there's nothing wrong with that.

I get so sick of everyone being able to be proud of their country except for us terrible, ogres - the ugly Americans.

Human rights abuses commited and supported by the USA is well hidden from the public, however with the internet more and more is getting out. Thus they want it controlled. None the less the USA is downright evil when it comes to foreign relations and domestic problems, remember that is the government. The people are a different story, they are broken down into four major categories: human rights supporters, neutral, against, "too late" groups (the ones who have gone out and commited the crimes).
You know whats funny yet sick? People who come out and start bashing others for putting up the ugly sides of their nation, especially when its the USA. Now that is just sad, they want their heads burried in the sand because they are afraid of the raging fires above.

Burry your head in the sand and you will only get torched by the flames, to fight the fires pull your head out of the sand (your rear) and do something about it instead of bashing people and calling them anti-american.
There that covers any present and future people who come on here and try and denounce things.

Hey don't get "us" wrong. I'm a proud American. But I'm not proud of the fact that some Americans want to pretend we do no wrong.

Part of being proud of your country - or yourself is being able to admit to your mistakes.

Otherwise it's just a delusion.

I have absolutely no problem with us admitting our mistakes. Our country is by no means perfect at ALL! And I'm not implying that or bashing anyone either. I just get so sick of all the America bashing sometimes. Look at how I got flamed just for sticking up for my country! What's up with that? Am I not allowed to be proud to live here? THAT's what's sick!

I could care less if you stick up for the part of the US population that is against the government and it's actions. However, should you start supporting them when they are our enemy, or start supporting the pupper masters who pull their strings, then I have severe issues with you. What is sick though are the ones who think that because our nation is not worse than Stalin or Nazi Germany we should sit on our rears and do nothing. That is called looking at the bottom of the bucket and so long as your not the bottom your better than everyone else.
Supporting the fact that not all of the USA is like the government: liars, cheats, murderers, rapists, fascists, nazis, KKK, elitists and all around evil is just fine. Frankly the fact that such people are permitted to hold power in this nation is beyond sickening. That or they have their policies backed up by buying polititians.
What sickens me just as much as what the government does in this nation is their "human rights" policies in foreign countries. Such as supporting every tin pot dictator they can find so that some corporation can run free. Chile was an example, Hawaii was a GRAND example: overthrow their queen who they all loved so that Dole fruit could buy up the islands and grow their fruit there at cut rate prices and in the perfect enviornment. Thus Hawaii is still trying to break away, they got the raw end of the deal.

Here is A (singular) link to the incident, this was BEFORE Dole became "Dole" as we know it today:
en.wikipedia.org...
[Quote]Historically, the Hawaiian Pineapple Company had a hand in the overthrow of Hawaiʻi's last queen, Liliʻuokalani, and helped the U.S. establish Hawaiʻi as a territory.[citation needed] Sanford Dole, the cousin of James Dole, was briefly president of the Republic of Hawaiʻi in the years immediately following the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy, in 1893.[Quote]

Thats right folks: The US navy helped to take down a monarchy that the people loved, and then appointed the owner of Dole fruit company as PRESIDENT! Then he allowed for annexation. And you wonder why the Hawiians just HATE the US government...
