Question: Where is the Universe?

Imo...N/a...No where

Contrary to popular belief, the 'universe' is not a place.
Therefore the question of 'Where is the Universe' cannot be applied.
It would be equivalent to asking "Who is a Book?

A Country is a place.
A Landmass is a place.
A House is a place.
A Tabletop is a place.
A Planet is a place.
A Galaxy is a place.
Think of any place you can. You will always end up with the same result. An object, or an area on the object. This 'object' will always be a noun.

So if the 'Universe' is not a place, what is it?
The universe is only a word. The Universe is an adjective. The term 'Universe' is used to describe the encompassment of all mass on a macro scale.

If you don't understand that, then I guess the most simple thing to associate this with would be a map. A map is what an area or place contains. The actual map is not the actual physical area displayed.

How about if we offer the argument that the 'universe' is no more than an artificial construct of our brain? And our brains, being pretty close in composition and function, constructs a 'universe' that appears to be fairly consistent from person to person?

Consider the scenario of your body, with all of its senses fully functional, physically separated from, yet still communicating with, your brain. Move the body a thousand miles away. Where are you?

Try to draw the Universe. What do you see around it? Is it blank? What is nothing? Really?

I hear there’s an excellent restaurant on the edge of it though…

There is nothing outside of the Universe. Consciousness creates reality, and consciousnes created the universe.

Outside of consciousness, time and location cease to exist. They are merely constructs of the physical plane of consciousness.

But, Consciousness is rhetorical...

The universe is floating amongst the multiverse, which is much bigger and outside of our universe.

A multiverse (or meta-universe) is the hypothetical set of multiple possible universes (including our universe) that together comprise all of physical reality. Multiverses have been hypothesized in cosmology, physics, philosophy, theology, and fiction, particularly in science fiction and fantasy.

All of you answered the question but not the correct one. I still see it as not answerable. This is a very important question.

The universe is everywhere.

Don't listen to scientists. Most of them aren't very smart. I think it was Max Planck who said that "Science has nothing to do with nature." He was a smart scientist.

I think if we ever resolve gravity we will know where our universe is. I think if you took a straight line out to the edge of our visible universe you would find emptiness. This emptyness would consist of an energy we call gravity. It is pulling all matter into it. When mater clumps it connects to this emptiness (gravity). Everything exists withen this energy AKA gravity. It permeates all things.

I also think it is possible for there to be other visisble universes withen this gravity like islands or bubbles of matter that are being pulled apart also.

If you kept going past our visible universe you might eventually bumb into another island of matter that looks and acts just like what we see when we look into space (would not be a copy of ours it would just have the same laws of nature.)

We just need to understand what causes gravity and what is gravity and we will solve the riddle of creation.

It's here, it's there, it's everywhere! Does that answer your question?

I really don't think the answer to this question requires more than one line.

You have no idea what you are talking about. You should tell me were all these universes are at?

The universe is where? Here and/or there(within the "universe") and/or everywhere(within the "universe"). Where is here? In the Universe. The universe is where?.....and Repeat.

Been there. The service was great but the meal wouldn't shut up. Of course I was on acid at the time.

The Universe is all that is and all that might be and all that never was... we are the eyes of the world looking back at itself in wonder.

If you do not know where the universe is how can you prove that it exists? And remember consciousness is rhetorical.
