Putin and Prodi want EU-Russia talks to start soon

"At the end of the talks Italy and Russia signed 10 accords on the protection of intellectual property, the joint building of the Super Jet 100 aircraft as well as banking and construction deals and cultural agreements."

What do you guys think? Between this article and Iran allegedly delaying payments for a russian built nuclear reactor, is it possible Russia is trying to now distance itself from Iran? A joint building agreement with Italy to build aircraft seems enough for me to think that.

No, Russia is using Iran appropriately they are using everyone this will only make things worse.

How so? Do you believe Russia is merely entertaining european nations as a masquarade?

Putin is positioning himself and Russia to have better relations with the enormous communist party that already exists in Italy. He is bringing it back, one step at a time.

Who knows what the real motives are..
