MAn it sounds like you got it rough with that annoying twit for a Sister in law taking advantage of your family. Your brother needs to reign her in. For lots of reasons. But mainly cause it's his responsibility to his family to correct the problem of his woman getting out of control.

So basically your sister in law. Does nothing to contribute to the house. Doesn't clean up after herself. Is lazy. Spoiled. Self Centered for only caring about 'Oh My God! Shoppping!!! Shopping Shopping Shopping. I love it! I don't understand why everybody doesn't shop ALLLLLLL day! Shopping Yay!!! Woooo!" Takes advantage of other people, is improprietus, and probably not the best choice your brother could have made.

I would be pissed too!

Have you tried talking to her? Telling her what you think? The "slapping her silly" option is not an option at all, my young freind, do not even attempt it. It'll cause more problems than it solves, plus your brother'll be against you, too. Violence against women is not an option, period.

Sounds like one hell of a control freak who thinks she is perfect. Nothing much you can do, avoid her whenever possible. She sounds way too spoiled and self-centred to be changed. I have one in my family as well, my grandmother.

Family, relatives and friends have tried many times, in many ways to try and influence her to change or correct her destuctive behaviour. In the end, we all avoided her.

She got the message and mellowed down a tone, but still continues to pester everyone. Some people don't change.... :shk:

Easy fella, I have a sis in law who is a meth head, and is pregnant!

Try telling your wife we should have no more contact with her sister!

A little bit harder than not playing video games!

Is she living in your house? If so you need to make it clear.........your house your rules, period. If she still can't help around the house, start making her pay rent or something.

If all else fails..............thell mommy-in-law!! LOL

That really sucks. I got lucky with my sis in law... she even hates all the same members of the extended family that I do.

As for your sister in law, and I mean no offense, what is wrong with your brother? I find it puzzling that they don't have their own place but that she is apparently obsessed with shopping.

Depending on the situation and your relationship with your brother, this might be one of those situations where a little heart to heart between brothers could do a lot of good.

Like, "hey bro, I don't mean to get into your business but have you ever considered going to the store with your wife and doing something incredibly inappropriate so that she and you both get banned for life? Cause I can't help noticing that she's got like six identical pairs of sandals and no closet to put them in."

Sometimes people need a few appropriately presented observations to put things in perspective and give them the support they need to address problems.

If I hadn't had brothers to talk to, I wouldn't have split up with the girl I almost married at 18. If my youngest brother hadn't had me to talk to, he would have already been divorced by the girl that he married at 18.

Well if she LOVES to shop so much, then have her buy A MAID! Call around and get 3 estimates and hand them to her with a straight face and say ok since you love to spend your money and don't want to contribute to the chores then this is a solution we could both live with. You know imagine kicking back at least once a week in a clean house you did not have to clean...ahhhhhhhhhhh bon bon's

I have a super cool brother-in-law like that
He 's one of my very best friends in the world. He has married into the family just like me and we have bonded as outsiders coming in

Yeah the sister in law sounds pretty annoying. I think BASSPLYR said it best
