Ah, yes. I know the subject well, and you should have no trouble finding threads on THAT topic.

I have an entry coming but it's taking a bit more research than I expected.

Research time and entertaining a 3-year old boy mix together like oil and water. Hence, no entry yet.

Also, Masqua, I originally planned to participate in judging this contest, however, since I plan on entering I would like to refrain from judging.

Just a personal preference like Justin.

Hey, I'm glad to hear that.
Short stories can be a lot of fun. I hopethat all of you will consdier entering this contest. Winning is not the issue. It's all about the satisfaction that you get from creating.

Excellent... I see you've put some work into this one.

Ah ha. I see five entries now. C'mon. You guys can do more. We should give the judges something to do, so I'm thinking that TEN stories would be a high end goal to aim for.

I was hoping for at least as many entry's as the last contest which was around 20 submissions i think. There is just so much material to work with from all the threads on ATS.
C'mon everyone, surely there's a thread you've seen that got your imagination going, write your story down and share it with us.

Masqua,

do I have to submit part of it first?
to get the go ahead?

I have picked a rather hard one... -> research

Best way is to type it up on Notepad or Word and then cut/paste it to 'New Thread' in Short Stories

What are the steps?

The steps are outlined in this thread. Take a look at the opening post.

P.S.

Is there a link to the short stories forum?

You just posted in it. This IS the Short Stories forum.

I have went through and read the submissions. Man this is going to be tough to judge a single winner.

I am so glad I didn't submit a entry it would have paled in comparison to the literary works of art that are written here.

How should I submit who I intend to vote for masqua?
