Hehehe, man you beat me. I was about to post. My friend had just forwarded the link. Anyway, it's a nice picture. What do you think?

It makes me think about old tales about creatures of the woods like trolls and elves. Kinda freaky.

My questions would be;
what exactly is of interest that were you aiming at using a full zoom?
why was the resolution setting so low?
If you were sending pictures to a friend, why not use the best settings?
can the person supply the exif data (2006 razr phone)

Gumby lives!

Seriously, that is one weird-looking figure. Wings on head and feet like the god Mercury, thin as Gumby the cartoon eraser. And the body mass and joint articulations are way off for someone in a costume.

Just have to wait for analysis of the photo to know if it's a hoax or not.

It's Gumby Dammit!

whenever someone has an alien, a chupacabra, a ufo or any other unproven thing in a photo that they didn't know was there until after they got their pictures back, I am skeptical. As stated above, why were you taking that picture in the first place?

That looks like the classical image of an elf rather than an alien. It is in what appears to be entirely green garb, and if you look closely, you can see that the footwear has little upward points at the toe. It even appears to be wearing a pointed cap which is set on the back of its head or else the point has bent backward. That fits the timeless description of an elf to a tee. Peter Pan?

I'm not gonna comment the picture, it could be anything really.

I'm gonna comment her language. She uses a lot of UFO related wording for someone who's not into the subject. She says "greyish figure", "ridicule", "extract information", "no one was visible" etc. I dunno, she just seems to know a lot about what to say for a 46 year old, but it could just be me.

As for not seeing it when taking the picture, we humans have a way of focusing on Only what we're doing right then and there. I tried showing this with a youtube clip a while back, but the clip was taken down and the thread died.
It showed a 1 minute clip of 8 poeple in white and black t-shirts passing a basketball in between eachother. You were given the task of counting the number of passes between the people in white t-shirts. After the clip I concluded "9 passes" and that was that, right? No. They showed the clip again, and this time asked if you noticed anything out of the ordinary...... and there was a guy in a green chewbakka suit that walked through the room and even did a little jig in the middle of it.

It just shows that we don't have a good perception on what can be going on around us when we're focusing on one thing, say taking a picture with a cell phone. Too bad the picture is so lousy.

That’s Kokopelli man, not that I for one second don’t think its completely contrived to lead to this explanation.

drexon, it isn't a matter of her not seeing it when she took the picture, that happens all the time. Rather, why the hell was she taking that picture in the first place? For what purpose? It seems that so many of these images we see start out with "I took this picture and when I got the picture and blew it up, check out what I found."

It doesn't really ad up, does it? In the end the photo, the only source of evidence, is so bad that it doesn't to squat for jack.

If it's real, hey nice for her, I guess She's convinced. If not, *shrugs*, what's there to do?

The 'whys' are always the first thing that comes to my mind when reading about strange pictures. It's almost a given that the pictures are taken for a legit reason, although they are often of a leading nature. Another thing of interest is the little guy is almost centered to the picture. This tells me that the person knew that she was photographing it. I'm pretty open minded but these are the questions I ask.

Strange picture indeed. I would say I believe it's either a real picture or a good hoax..

I'm not going to comment on the image, other than to say the figure depicted looks like one of the beings described in the 1955 Hopkinsville Goblin Invasion

Sorry to bust your bubble, but the power of suggestion is far too dangerous. Someone says "Look at this strange figure" and we all see a Gumby type figure running.

Look closer and see the tree for the woods so to speak.

It is nothing more than............

a trail or path through the grass!

Seriously, some common sense please and stop jumping at shadows everyone!!!

Well my goal in this post was to see if it jars any memories to it being seen before. I swear it seems soooo familiar maybe it's an obvious hoax I dont know. I do agree with the questioning the reasoning for taking such a picture to begin with. That said, any hoaxer should realize that placing an obvious subject in the photo would carry more weight, like say a dog or family pic with something wierd in the background so then why are there so many without an obvious reason for taking the picture to begin with? Thats also a good question.

I'm sure the dog would have seen or sensed it's presence yet nothing about the dog's reaction is mentioned.

She states why she took the pictures. That's no mystery at all. She just moved onto the property so she was taking pictures to send to a relative. Besides it looks like a beautiful place. People will often take photos of naturally beautiful surroundings. That's the most natural and common thing to do with a camera.

lol I agree. I don't think the picture is real. To me the picture looks like it's been painted
