This is the next step before they start implanting them into humans.

But what if Americans want to be chipped? It will be the next trendy thing to do - like tattoos and piercings. With the chip you don't have to carry around your ID, your credit card, or your medical bracelet. You'll be able to walk into a store, grab a gallon of milk, and walk out without stopping at the cashier. There wont be any cashiers, because everything is credited from your chip!

Even better, if someone makes you mad you can inform on them and homeland security can turn off their chip. They'll starve to death, because they cant buy anything without it! HAHAHA!
If you get lost, the government will always know where to find you. If your kids get lost, they can find them too. The future is gonna be really cool.

This is actually pretty frightening, however I don't know exactly what they mean by "digital chip" would it just be an RFID to store your information? Or does it have a more sinister purpose? Tracking people?

If people are actually concernd about being trackd by your goverment with Chips, throw your mobile phone away now. They can be trackd just as easily even when your not on a call and act as the same kind off electronic tag. OH and by the way, you'll also want to close your bank account, never work unless for cash in hand, cancel all credit cards, never visit a hospital, dont use your car, never subscribe to anything like the internet, dont pay any bills, infact basicaly your going to have to sell your house. Because the fact is if the goverment really really wanted to find you suprise suprise THEY CAN! with pretty much no trouble what so ever.

Regardless of wether or not you get one of these, your goverment knows where you are 24 hours a day if it were to actually bother checkin.

If the government already have all this kind of control why would they need more by chipping everyone?

Well obviously having everyone chippd still makes life easier when trying to find people and thats what its all about, even such a marginal difference as that helps to stream line everything.

Also, it is even in todays world easy enough to completey "go off the grid" as it were, being chipd prevents that from ever happening. Ever.

Apart from that, the only thing anyone can do is guess. Apparently the benefits of this system are inconsequencial to the theorhetical "what ifs"

It is rather grim humor.

On Star or other brand equiped cars can track and listen to you. Some cars also have a black box. The box will collect data during an accident. The car makers aren't the only one using the data. The NSTB, insurers, lawyers, law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys and the feds are all getting data. There have been people charged with crimes including man slaughter from collected data. So I guess we are all being watched to some degree .
