Complaining about the super rich ruling elite is somewhat like complaining about the rules of a monopoly game; without the rules there would be no game. Our computers, our cars, our freeways and our beds are all the result of someone taking control and making something happen. Almost everybody complains and feels that they know a better way, but unless they are able to be a world player their ideas are useless. Now I am not saying that all the transnational corporate moguls are good people but some are. They are planning the future of our nations for us because all we can do is form opinions that span 360 degrees with nary two people who can agree on what is best. So there are good shepherds and bad shepherds that forge our society. We can complain all we want, but unless we have the ability to become one of these shepherds, these world affecting figures, then our complaints will result in presicely nothing. If we were wise enough to be a significant influence on Earth, perhaps that wisdom would show us that some of what is being done is the right thing. The good shepherds may want us to have enough liberty to grow by but not so much that we kill our selves with it. The bad shepherds most likely want to keep us ignorant to more conveniently control us.
Would you give a classroom full of immature children the full ability to decide all their own rules?.... Tough one

What you're asking is who gets to be free.

The pagans (Germanic people) want everyone to be free, jeudeo-christianity only wants a minority to be free, and far eastern religious tradition only wants a select few to be free.

Read this book. It is most enlightening.

Kind of like what has already been done, eh?
Problem is we don't realize or harness our unique ablility to guide and control our personal experience, with the chaos factor figured in of course.

Reminds me of the movie Lord of the Flies the apparant natural inkling within the group to establish the order with the cruelest and strongest at the top.
With the Hero suffering the wrath of those who can.......

Interesting point. So Just as the bad guys keep all their activities secret, the good ones must also hide their agendas or risk annihilation. So both form secret societies to operate in secrecy.
Imagine two scientists lost in the jungle happen upon a tribe of primitive people. One scientist is evil and uses his impressive knowledge of the elements to amaze and control the people but keeps his science secret so that others do not share his power. The good scientist uses his knowledge to help the people but he also keeps secrets because the natives are prone to war and infighting. More knowledge in the ways of science would inevitabley be used to kill each other more efficiently. So the good and the bad both keep secrets for different reasons.
In a world where evil exists, good people must keep secrets...
