You are not logged out, it is just taking you to the new home page where it lists different popular threads. At first I found it frustrating, and was going to submit a complaint, but after a few minutes I began to like it. We can easily click on the Discussion Board button to be directed to the forum listing, or Recent Posts, and at least this way we can be kept up to date on popular threads.

If you want to jump from posts from ATS to BTS to AP, you could just click on these buttons.

SO,
Here is the order for me.
click on BTS login...stay in BTS it seems ok.

If I click over to ATS, I am still previously logged in..
But if I click BTS again..I have to log in again.

This is after I cleaned out my cookies..

Eh..thats not quite right.. I'll click through things again..

OK...I am fine..unless, I click on the BTS link on the top menu.
As soon as I do that..I am logged out of all the domains..

Does this help?

We are not logged out though. It is merely taking us to the page where it lists the most popular threads due to flagging, or the staff picks, etc. It does say "Log In" as a button, but it does on the page when we first come to ATS. From my own experience with this, even though it does say Log In, we are not logged out.

It is directing us to www.abovetopsecret.com rather than www.abovetopsecret.com/forum

I've just noticed that ATS is set to take us to the Forum page, while BTS and AP are set to take us to the home page. If you hover your mouse over the three links in the upper right hand corner, you can see this in the status bar if you have it visible in your browser.

You're hitting new static pages in the domain root, outside of the forum proper. These new pages are not "aware" of your logged in/out status.

Some new ones just finished:

Forum overviews: www.abovetopsecret.com...
Forum top-flagged: www.abovetopsecret.com...
Forum hot-topics: www.abovetopsecret.com...

(those three exist for all ATS forums... try 'em)

Ah!

zipping around just fine now.
So I wasn't acutally logged out.

It just looked odd, as long as I stayed in ATS...I could click the upper right link, and get the old style listing of forums, but once I moved to BTS, then back, the listings were New style, hot topics, and flagged threads..
thats what threw me for a loop.

Well it got me for a while but thank you for this thread.

Now . . . I am getting up to four duplicates on my favorites of the same threads . . .

Thanks for explaining this.

I had asked the question in "help" but no one got back to me. I just noticed this thread.
