Or how would you like it if YOU made a thread called "whos your favorite and least favorite rocker", and I would've come and said the EXACT same stuff as you, except filling in Rock for rap as the negative. Remember, do on to others as you would like done on to yourself

To be honest I wouldn't care, it brings in more discussion. I also wasn't trying to hurt anyone, just stating my opinion. Yeah, maybe I might of misjudged rappers, but I still don't like the ones who sing about the content I mentioned before.

You asked me why I hate rap, then you told me to get out of the thread. Why?

The thread said who's your favorite and least favorite rapper. I stated that all rappers are my least favorite - and intended to say only that. I never meant to hurt anyone. Now I am not a gothic black and death metal guy in case your wondering.

So now on with the question

I hate rap because it's full of sex, crime and money. It makes crime look cool. It makes cheating on your husband and your boyfriend killing him look cool. It encourages our youth to go out and bust their virginity way too early. Now I will admit that I used to like rap, eminem in particular. But when I realized what they were singing about, I moved to rock.

The simple universal rule is if you see a thread about something you don't like, don't go to it.

No it wasn't like that, I had no urge to go in and trash anything.

stop listening to the radio! that isn't the true essence of rap/hip hop at all.

a lot of other artists have lyrical meaning and more to it than just "sex crime and money"
thats like i saying i hate metal because its all about devil worshipping or i hate country because its all about drunkness at bars and your dog dying. i dont believe that about both

I hate the radio because every once in awhile it will play a song I like. Also I don't know any stations.

I will say I can tolerate some rap, but the American stuff is not my type.

Yeah but dude that's radio for you..If all the good stuff was played on the radio all the time from any genre half of the people you hear currently would be out of the music game in an instant.

Exactly. MP3 players are so much better, just hook them to your car and your set.

Hell yeah MP3 players are the best especially when you can download podcasts and everything onto them as well i can listen to Ozzy's Black Rain whenever i want instead of waiting for one of the songs from it to be played once during the whole day on a radio station

Personaly. I get all the variety and difference in styles all in one spot.

WU-TANG CLAN.

For me, they are all the rap I need. Each one is different. 4-5 members are above average Rappers, the rest are average. Method Man may be the best Rapper ever. Combine all these guys under one roof, slap in some well known Wu style beats, and you have a platnum album.

Peace, and protect yo neck.

OK, not that my favorite rapper has changed, but after hearing Talib Kweli's new album "Eardrum", I think he has jumped at least 5 spots in my top 10.

I highly suggest everyone check it out, but when Common's new album drops, its ON. All else shall fall short...until kanye's new one drops in August.

Brace yourselves people, this is gonna be good.

My personal favorite would have to be The Legendary Percee-P. This dude can flow and freestyle like no other. He also just came out with his first album a few years ago with Stones Throw Records called Perseverance. He has been in the game since 1979, and stayed true to underground hip/hop if you all haven't heard about him check it out.

Pffft gotta love it whether on the net or in real life this happens without fail. start talking about hip hop and someone pipes up and says "uh I hate all rap" two minutes later they are all like "well I do like some rap."

I've gotta agree with the guy who said Wu tang. Specifically Gza for rhymes and Rza for beats and out of this world production. I also agree with the OP lady sov is almost certainly the worst or some other hipster hopper. I'd probably go with maxnormal for laughs. "my family's so poor, how poor is dey?" "what's a gangster, you don't know what's a gangster?"

I don't even understand the whole rap on the radio is bad comments since its been getting much better. Maybe if you stopped listening in 2006. Kid Cudi while dumbing his stuff down lately is an excellent rapper and has some pretty smooth beats as well. Just check out "cleveland is the reason" if you don't believe me.

My Favorite Gotta Be Nas......His music made me look at the world through my 3rd eye

My Least Favorite......Hands Down Rick Ross.....Dude got amazing Production but he's the biggest fraud that ive seen thus far

I'm more of a metal head but i do slip into rap sometimes to switch it up. My favorite would have to be Immortal Technique, love the stuff he covers in his songs.

I can't really pick a rapper who i dislike the most, i just don't listen to enough rap to not like a certain rapper. A lot of the stuff on the radio is intolerable so probably one of them. bad answer i know
