Anyhow, this will end the farmers' livelihood as well as survivalists idea of self-reliance.

This is just ridiculous. I think this confirm that there is really a plan of depopulation.

Please discuss further as this will affect our food supplies.

A smart man would stock up on seeds right now that are all natural. In 20 years they will be worth a fortune.

What better way to subjugate the population. The food supply could be controlled by the elite just like everything else and with eminent domain, they could steal your land too. Just imagine if corporate America put their technology into things that benefitted humanity.

I heard about some group in Canada started a barter system where money is out of play, and their successfully implementing it. This system was introduced a way back here in US before an audience. The system was originated in Switzerland and they started to spread it due to currency monopoly of the so-called Controlling Power working at the background of political and economic arena.

I hope some of the ATS members can do some research.

The article states that the seed DNA will be programmed to kill it's own embryos.

What would eating something like that do to our own DNA?

If the saying "You are what you eat" applies then it doesn't look to good from that angle, either.

It just plain doesn't make sense to even do such a thing as create suicidal seeds.

omg this is just terrible. They just don't stop. They want to control everything I do mean everything!!! Just like the Bible says you want be able to buy or sell.... Seems like its quickly moving that direction. Fixing it to where we won't be able to reproduce our own foods even. Ok people see how they moved from the innocent techology of taking seeds out of our oranges and grapes etc... so people can enjoy them better. Now you see how they take the techolgy and twist it to do more harm than good.

Monsanto is a very scary company. The first time I learned of it's evil power was here a year or two ago. This member had a done a huge writ up about their lawsuits and their tactics. Do a search on monsanto and be appaulled with the rest of us.

This international law will surely affect present and future drilling water wells.
Therefore, forget it folks! they already embraced every possible loopholes of planning to be survivalists.

You people need to relax. If we can tweak DNA to make a seed unable to germinate, don't you think we can also tweak a plant to make it sterile?

Like someone else mentioned, we have had seedless varieties for years, and somehow, wild populations have not been wiped out.

In it's current state, yes the seeds are a horrible idea. All they need to do though is produce a strain whose pollen would be sterile, or genetically incompatible with any other strain, then the genetic material would not be able to spread.

I'd be willing to wager that they're working on it as we speak.

Edit to add-

Besides, there is only talk of the "terminator" strain pollinating, and affecting wild seed. Why does no one speak of wild strains pollinating, and affecting "terminator" seed? Because then it wouldn't sounds as alarmist

I have no hopeless suggestions sorry only hopefull ones.

First suggestion flag threads like this one. Ignorance will kill us all, knowledge arms us to fight the good fight. The more people who know about this the more people who can be out raged and do something about it.

Second suggestion. Keep getting prepaired. Dont stop learning and planning for your own survival.

Third suggestion. Become as self suffetion as possible. Dont let them take all your money.

That can be done by spreading all these "conspiracy news", a documentary about 9/11 from google video can really change a lot in a person.
I myself supported the "war on terror" and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, until 2006 when by mistake I saw one such video, then I started to search for more myself. Just link them wherever it's possible, and people will see them

It's terribly unbecoming to even come up with these subjects.

I'm still up in the air over the real ramifications of such a program. But, if you want to store seeds, here is a company that sells seeds packed for long-term freezing. This is something I am considering, as part of a long-term survival kit.

You can also harvest seeds now from going your own vegetables using off the shelf seed packets available at stores like Walmart and Lowes. Here's one method of doing this, ironically from the USDA.

I currently harvest seeds from certain veggies, dry them and store them in a shoebox in my garage over the winter. Since our winters in central NY are rather cold I have found this to work just fine.

I will always support threads like these.

Terminator technology is scary indeed.... on so many levels.

I myself have made threads about the subject and Monsanto in general.

The technology benefits nobody but the company that sells the seed. Plain and simple. There is nothing they can say about the technology to make it sound good to the common man. Will this solve world hunger? Hardly.

Sadly even if terminator technology is not implemented the idea behind controlling the seed has been used by Monsanto in the past. You have to buy Roundup Ready Canola every year. You cannot use your own seed as it is illegal.

I am in grain production myself by the way.

What do you mean by "Roundup Ready", is that just a GM variety that can withstand the common herbicide roundup? And why can't you use your own seeds?

This idea has been around along time, yet another money making scam and one that has food growers dependant on commpanies such as Monsanto, are these the new weapons of the future? no need to attack anyone just starve them out.
