there's absolutely nothing wrong with starting your investigation of a cryptid from a believer's stance. many of us do!
but keep in mind that if a photograph or video shows us something that would be entirely useless as a species (once again, take a look at evolution
theory) or is so clearly a hoax, like this one is, we may still discuss it but have already noted it firmly for what it is.
granted, there are plenty of cryptids that could well be real. 80% of those who use this forum are happy to study them in the hopes of confirming
their existence. but all too many times we're all proved wrong, and the creature turns out to be something much more mundane. not all the time, but
alot of the time. this is why we all get so tremulously excited when a new cryptid appears on the news - another chance to actually prove it!
