UFC + ESPN???

While I was driving today i heard interesting comments on ESPN radio by Colin Cowerd and John Seibel. Basically they think UFC is an awsome event and a terrific sport to watch. Even mentioning how that when Ortiz and Shamrock fought on spike TV it got better ratings than the first game of the world series. THEN I believe it was Colin who called out Espn to say they have got to pick this sport up. it was a gutsy move on his part to say that. And I completly agree.
Boxing for some sad reason is dead and the UFC is is fresh and hot . The demographics of fans is unreal....it is split 50/50 with men and women. As a matter of fact smoking hot women. Any of the three major sports would kill for such a diverse fan base. I understand that spike TV and the UFC probably have some million year contract but Espn needs to recognize this sport. and get it to their program somehow. Even Foxsport newtwork shows pride fighting.
being discussed today on Espn radio I believe was a major steeping stone for the sport. And probably will eventually allow them to at least have the option of throwing their hat in the ring with the big dogs on ESPN tv.
