Hello my fellow aircraft forum friends.

As we discuss military aviation from past to present to future, we certainly all have the love for aviation in common. So whether you want to post a reason or not, I want to get some of your personal collection of photos if you would like to share any of them here for the other members to see.

I am seeking to start a thread on your favorite miltary aircraft photos and I welcome all aircraft from all countries of course.

P.S. Being partial and part of the F18 Hornet program, if you have any photos of the F18 (any block or designation) please send it to me here. I would love to find a great one that I could use as my avatar...you would get the credit of course!

Peace, Mondo

BW, I will try to paste it in my browser but so far, the link is not active. I am very curious to see your image. As the link seems to read, it must be of an F22 or an F15..or both??

Thanks, Mondo

Hey Mondo
Yeah Think this is a great idea. hopefully people make use of this thread. I'm not sure if I should try and post the images or the links. Anyways I'll try links first. This pictures are a mix of cool situations and the Canadian Airforce. If you let me know what type of F-18 or situation that one is in let me know and I'll see if I have something. With out further a do here are the links.

Canada,

Wow, that F15 with the vapor is sweet as well as the F18 in winter, you know what..they are all very cool!

Post pics however you want...links are cool, even better if you can just put them up right here at ATS though!! The F18 that I am looking for to use as my avatar has to be the right size of course, but it is an F18C out of Pt. Mugu, California..tail code XF for the Vampire Bats...a test and evaluation squadron that I grew up watching!

I absolutely love the F18 E/F though and would enjoy any and all help!

C'mon gang...get those pics coming along now!

Peace to you all, Canada especially for the moment.....Mondo

North,

Maybe that pilot thought the toll booth was the base guard shack right??

Nice find there, carrier folds in the wings and all...neat shot!

Thanks y'all so far, I am sort of expecting some great photos tonight and some even some more bizarre paint schemes too.....I hope

Peace...see you soon I hope! Mondo

I don't visit the aircraft forum very much, but I have to say, that was a great place to park an F-18.
Your out on a nice country road, and hopefully you would have a picnic basket with you.

Sadly, my knowledge of military aircraft is limited to the doghouse that Snoopy flew.
So here's my favorite:

It looks like a Sopwith Camel to me.......

I'm curious if there are any plans for a military version of the A380.
You could move a lot of soldiers on a plane that size.

Love the Dirt landings and high speed low pass of the Tomcat on the Carrier. I remeber hearing the pilot got grounded for 3 weeks or something for that stunt. But then again it was only by word of mouth so im not so sure about it.

I'll get some tiger meet CF-188 pics up tomorrow.

So many beautifull vintage craft thats its near impossible too choose but heres my top two. I had an official USAF picture on my wall of the below Hustler pic and this paticular F-106 is one of my favorite design planes as well. I love those late 50's early 60's delta wing designs.
