Most Airliners are sold and operated with unpainted wings, and if you follow the contrail from the back of the image you will see the classic merge of vapour into one stream off 2 engines typically that of the type of commecial airliner as previously mentioned in the thread.

I'm not sure but it almost appears to be some sort of silo.

I Believe it is a plane, and why would someone try and fake
a plane into google earth? (except for testing their abilities).
If it is real it is in Utah. If not the faker used that image to insert
it in a Utah screenshot. The 9/11 aspect IMO is not in play here.

No, it isnt a plane. I am sure, because that wouldnt be cool. But a missle, now that cool!

does look like 2 contrails which jets have..., does that missle have 2?

Woah! Kudos to you for finding this. Also take a look a little north of it, there seems to be a..."apparition" for lack of a better term in a similar shape of it, colored in a strange way (bluish with red at the front).

Also I agree with some of the posters here it looks like a plane it has dark wings it seems, or its some sort of long-range cruise missile. I'm going to see if I can find out where it was fired from.

It seems to be quite narrow. A plane would seem to have more width to it.

Maybe it is an alien controlled UFO disguised as a missile. I would do that if I was an alien pilot.

Now that it's been pointed out that it's a plane... it looks like one.

Coincidentally it is on a direct route between two local non-commercial airports, so it's more than likely a private business jet flying between the two.

Look right behind the tail end real close in both the outlined and MD90 it looks like there is faded lettering to me. It appears on google earth and of course the cropped images.


If you open the photo in PS the top image even has black lettering in the lower RH Corner.

I think it's definetly some kind of an airplane.

You can see the wings pretty clearly on the picture.

And two engine trails behind.

c'mon its definitely not a missile.
If you look closely yes, it does turn out to be a plane with wings that blend into the background, but even w/o looking closely you can figure out its not a missile:

According to the key the length of the thing is approx. 100 ft and at at least 10 feet across.
With such dimensions there is no way it could be a conventional missile; definitely has to be ballistic(Actually the size of a Delta II launch vehicle).

Level flight of a ballistic projectile at such a low altitude; well that would be interesting to say the least!

Ah, so it IS an aircraft. Good looking out, didn't notice the wingspan shadow.

This is a Tomahawk cruise missile, The US military test fires missiles all the time! Please tell me how you can measure how long the missile is when you have no idea how high it is flying???

There is just one problem, it cannot be a missile. the one on google has a windshield on the nose.
