The Mist is probably one of my (and a lot of other peoples) favourite short stories by Stephen King. I hope they do the story some justice.

It's Darabont ain't it? He pretty much done great jobs of Shawshank and The Green Mile so I have faith!

Yes a lot of movie geeks are pleased he's got the job.
The thing I've always found with King stories being made into movies is that, with a few exceptions, Carrie, The Green Mile, it's mostly the non horror/supernatural ones that translate to the screen better.
