I read the other week that the building of a bunch of Wal-marts in California will put thousands of supermarket clerks out of work, thats not very nice thing to have happening. Thats smacks of some kind of underhanded dealing if its allowed to happen!

and are these stores going to be full automated? no actual human employees huh?
everytime a store opens it MUST hire new people otherwise no business takes place...weird huh?
so if new stores open...then that must mean....thats right! new employment opportunities! amazing huh?

here where i live they are using auto check out but only a few, i don't know about the rfid thing, but walmart is making it mandatory that if you want to sell your products through walmart, EVERY piece of the merchandise must be chipped by 2005.

The mandatory chipped merchandise is the same thing as the RFID tags. Regardless of what name they want to give it, it's still B.S.!!!
I'm sorry friend, rfid tags are not bs. In the home office here in bentonville they have brochures in reguards to rfid tags in the front office where you walk in. in november walmart had a big supplier meeting in springdale that was mandatory for the suppliers to attend, the day after this meeting there was a write up in the paper that stated the whole purpose of this meeting was rfids.
