New Members

As of late, has anyone seen a flood off new members? (past 3 mths)

I just thought it was kinda cool that all these new members were coming to ATS.

Yeah, I noticed this the other day. I think it's a good thing. I wonder how many of them will be around in a couple of months.

now is this good or bad?

Hopefully, of the new 25- 35 members joining per 24 hours period, a small percentage will become good-spirited participating members.

... the rest who may never post again will be digital breadcrumbs when the purge-O-vacuum cleans up the stragglers next time around. Muhahahaha!

Probably *not* the correct forum to do this, but thought I'd say "Hi" to all, having just joined RATS by carefully saving up my points...

And the increase in numbers is rfelcted in the increase in ATS SETI@home members too, don't forget!!

In my oppinion too many have joined in a very short period of time.

This isn't entirely true, but the overall quality of all posts have decresed.

There are golden posts once in a while, but a lot of junk.

But, it is changing.

No offense to New Members, but you are bringing up what we already have torn to pieces.

That may well be true, but new blood and new ideas could well re-animate some of those things.

Considering you just joined in Dec., you must have been either posting quite alot or given many applauds.

Since there is no more ATS email account, I thought I'd check out what's hiding behind RATS.

I have noticed the flood of new members. But it will be like always. Many will join, and maybe 20% will stay more that six months.... while the others will slowly dissapear. Not many members stay for long periods of time. But its good to see new members. Keeps things fresh.
